Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Indesit wixe127 code f05

My machine will take a wash, start then when required to empty start the pump and stop dead with F05.
Yesterday I removed the drain hose and brought it down low and started it all again which it did right to the end.
The drain is not blocked by the way.
Is this the pressure switch not dropping out?

"F05" is an indication of a water temperature sensor (NTC) error, or Heating Circuit failure. Check the Water Temperature Sensor and check connections to the Water Temperature Sensor. To access, you will have to UNPLUG your washer and remove the lower access panel under the door. The panel comes off by removing the screws under the bottom edge. HINT: If you place a block of wood under each front foot of the washer, it will make access to the screws much easier. If the panel sticks, a tap on the sides will knock it free. The panel will drop down then come off. The sensor (NTC) is located at the base of the wash tub in the front on the heating element. This will be a small square shaped plug between the heating element terminals. Unplug the wire harness and take a resistance check. Readings will be as follows:

Temperature Meter Reading
32°F (0°C) 35.9 K ohms
86°F (30°C) 9.7 K ohms
104°F (40°C) 6.6 K ohms
122°F (50°C) 4.6 K ohms
140°F (60°C) 3.2 K ohms
158°F (70°C) 2.3 K ohms
203°F (95°C) 1 K ohms

Roughly...around 9K ohms at room temperature if I'm reading the chart correctly. Take readings as listed and also double check the connector to make sure it is not oxidized. Try cleaning the plug and reconnecting to see if the error code goes away. If not, you will probably have to replace the sensor. If the sensor checks good, take a reading across the heating element terminals. It should indicate about 15 ohms.

Lastly, remove the washer top panel by removing the three screws holding the panel in place in the rear. Once the screws are removed, slide the panel back then off. Locate the Central Control Unit (CCU) directly behind the wash tub. Take a resistance check at the Heating Element Solenoid by removing connector 9 from the CCU (this is the second connector from the RIGHT as facing from the front). A reading across test points 1 & 2 should also read 15 ohms

Flashing code f05

F05 indicates no drain or pressure switch jammed on full. If it's full of water you need to drain this down first.

Take the cover off below the front panel, you may find a filter there. Put a container down and some towels.

Slacken the filter a little and drain the water. Tighten the filter to stop the water. Continue doing this till the water stops, then take the filter out, clean out the debris, ensure the pump is free to turn.

If your machine doesn't have a filter, pull the machine out and drop the hose into a bucket or wash basin. Raise the hose to stop the flow of water while you empty the bucket or basin. Once empty, unplug the appliance, tilt it back 45 degrees (assistance would be good), take the screws holding the pump in place and drop it out through the bottom. Take the hoses off, clear the debris and reassemble. If there is no water in the machine, unplug the appliance, take the lid off, locate the pressure switch, give it a few good taps with the screwdriver handle, take the thin tube off and blow down it hard to clear any debris. Reassemble.

Try the machine again. If the F05 persists then you're potentially looking at new electronic control board for the appliance.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Remove and clean plastic filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
Hope this helps you.

Wf 860 error code f05 psi switch jammed on full - machine had not emptied water. Is this faulty switch or blocked pump etc?

F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.

Check for blockage first.

Hello, i have an Indesit WIXE127 showing error code FO7. Any help/advice appreciated.

F05 is where the pressure switch has not reset within 10 minutes of emptying on any part of the cycle. Basically this means the pump is not pumping the water out. This could be a blocked filter (located on front of machine at bottom behind the kickstrip). Be careful when removing the filter as it unscrews anticlockwise and if the is water in the drum then tilt the appliance back at 45 degrees and put a large bowl underneath to catch the water. If the filter does not unscrew then theres definitley something in the filter. When the filter is out put your finger inside to rotate the impellor. This should spin freely. If this does not solve your problem check for blockages where the grey drain hose connects to the sink (it could be blocked there).

F05 means that the pressure switch is jammed on full, this is the switch that controls the water level.
It could be a faulty switch, a blocked hose to the switch, or a pump blockage.
Check pump first to see if it is draining o/k.
If o/k ,then there is not a lot more that you can do, unless you are conversant with washers and know how to check pressure switch and pressure chamber and hose for blckage or malfunction.
I would suggest that you call some one in if you can not sort it yourself.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Fault f05

F05 means pressure switch jammed on full, firstly check that pump is working and that there is no blockage anywhere,
if it still does not work, then you are going to have to call an engineer.
Hope this helps.
Please leave feedback.
