Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Will not allow me to install Reader 9.2 Error

try to completely UNINSTALL your adobe reader program. Then reinstall it. If the problem persists, uninstall the program again (Adobe reader) and delete the Adobe Reader folder in your Program Files folder. Then reinstall.

Need to delete Adobe Reader 7.0.9 so I can reinstall latest Versi

I was able to remove Adobe 7.0.9 by getting feed back from "question to google crowd"!
1. I had to download a program that removed the "setup" from the Adobe 7.0.9 on my computer.
2.I then downloaded Adobe 8.1 (with the understanding that since "7.0.9" now had no setup instructions" there would be no problem with the "8.1" download) -
3.Once "8.1" was downloaded I went to "ADD/REMOVE" and removed "7.0.9" - this time it worked just fine - no message that I had to find a folder with "7.0.9" .
4.After removing "7.0.9" I removed "8.1" with the ADD/REMOVE program;
5.All Adobe was removed from the computer..I then downloaded ADOBE 9 from Adobe's website.
6.I went to my portfolio to check it out and the pages came up without a hitch.
Goodluck to those who have had a similar problem.

Cannot use reader 8.0,cannot remove it or install 9.0

oddly enough, you may find that updating the version 8.0 you have to 8.x will then allow you to remove it (or it will work correctly) can you open the reader manually in the programs list? if so open it, then go to help and check for updates. apply the updates. If they work you should be in good shape.

When I try to download acrobat reader 9 I gbet the message: The4 older version of adobe reader 9 cannot be removed Error 1714

Try to revome the old version by yourself, after that instal the new one.
If that dosent work, try to reinstal an old version first, then uninstal the same and instal the new one.
Seen this problem before, and one of the solutions obove should work for you.

Good luck

Adobe problems

GO TO ADOBE.COM AND DOWNLOAD THE UNINSTALLER FOR YOUR VERSION TO YOUR DESKTOP.OPEN THE UNINSTALLER ICON ON YOUR DESKTOP.YOU WILL THEN BE ABLE TO REMOVE ALL INSTANCES OF THE SOFTWARE.IF YOU STILL CANT GET 7.0 REMOVED THAN IT IS BEING USED BY ANOTHER APP ON THE PC AND THATS WHEN THINGS GET A LITTLE DICY.YOU WILL NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT OTHER APP IS SHARING THE SOFTWARE.THE KEY IS TO GET WHATEVER PROGRAM ON YOUR COMPUTER THAT IS RUNNING 7.0 TURNED OFF.ADOBE NEEDS TO NOT BE RUNNING TO BE ABLE TO BE UNINSTALLED.BUT,I THINK THE UNINSTALLER SHOULD DO THE TRICK.GOOD LUCK.

I am having a problem with Adobe Reader 8.1.1. I am using Windows XP. Originally the program ran fine, but lately when I click on a link on a website that uses Adobe Reader I get a message that says...

do you the original installer of your adobe reader?

if you..when uninstalling adobe and the error occurs just browse for the .msi in your adobe installer and hit ok...

after it uninstall...download foxit reader and install it instead of the adobe reader....

hope this helps

Problems with Reader

Look under the Run the Microsoft Clean Up utility before you install Acrobat or Adobe Reader header at http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=320310:

DK50, your problems seem to stem from corrupted registry key(s).  While this should fix your issue in the short-term, bad registry values are never a good sign.  I would suggest you visit microsoft's site and search for a registry repair utilities for your operation system version such as http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=56d3c201-2c68-4de8-9229-ca494362419c&displaylang=en (windows 2000).  As a rule of thumb I always recommend a complete fresh install every 2 - 3 years (at least) and of course only after backing everything up.  Hope this helps.  =)

Adobe installation

Hooray! Found the solution. Seems the problem is you must have the Adobe Reader 7.0.9 installer on your system to be able to install 8.1.1. You can d/l version 7.0.9 (which includes the installer) here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/read...llversions.html
Install the whole thing, then you should be able to install your 8.1.1, which will remove the 7.0.9 version in the process, but will use its installer.
