I'm getting this message every few minutes on a Vista system. Acrord32.exe-No Disk "there is no disk in the drive\Device\Harddisk4\DR4.

These instructions apply If you have "Adobe Acrobat Reader" installed, not if you have the paid for, full suite "Adobe Acrobat".

1. Completely uninstal "Adobe Acrobat Reader"

2. Reinstall (if you so choose) "Adobe Acrobat Reader"

or use an alternative (less bloated) PDF-reader:

Error code 13042 for Adobe Reader for Windows Vista

you received error 13042 when either one of 2 things:

1. when downloading something hiccuped and caused a bad zip file

solution is to delete the old zip file and download fresh from adobe.com

There's a discussion of this problem on Adobe's forum at
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/771034.
Maybe some of the ideas there will help.

Have you tried Foxit Reader? It's for .pdf files and I've had very good luck with it. Download it for free:

Adobe reader 8.1.0 Error 1311.Source file not found:C:\Program.Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Setup Files \{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-A81000000003}\Data1.cab.Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

it seems that your adobe reader did not installed properly. Uninstall the software and then install the adobe reader again. if the problem still persists then change the installation disc and try with the another fresh copy of adobe reader

I get a Runtime error message constantly then a crash. can't open my pdf files.Using A Reader X

If your only intention is to open .pdf files and not Adobe Reader X problem, then there is a easy solution to open the .pdf files. You can use Foxit Reader or Nitro PDF Viewer as a PDF decoding software, These can give you the same results ( in some cases, more than you want!!!) with respect to Adobe Reader X. Amongst these PDF viewer, I recommend you to use Foxit Reader, as this is very much lightweight with respect to Adobe Reader (About 14 times smaller) and handy.

You can download these PDF readers by clicking over the following links:
And if you still want to use Adobe Reader X, then you should uninstall it and try re-installing it again, because it may be the problem of file corruption or improper installation of Adobe Reader.

Hope this helps,

A DPF (text) file cannot be viewed in my PC, why?

I think its .pdf file, which stands for Portable Document Format and you need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files.

Download it from the internet and install

Adobe problems

GO TO ADOBE.COM AND DOWNLOAD THE UNINSTALLER FOR YOUR VERSION TO YOUR DESKTOP.OPEN THE UNINSTALLER ICON ON YOUR DESKTOP.YOU WILL THEN BE ABLE TO REMOVE ALL INSTANCES OF THE SOFTWARE.IF YOU STILL CANT GET 7.0 REMOVED THAN IT IS BEING USED BY ANOTHER APP ON THE PC AND THATS WHEN THINGS GET A LITTLE DICY.YOU WILL NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT OTHER APP IS SHARING THE SOFTWARE.THE KEY IS TO GET WHATEVER PROGRAM ON YOUR COMPUTER THAT IS RUNNING 7.0 TURNED OFF.ADOBE NEEDS TO NOT BE RUNNING TO BE ABLE TO BE UNINSTALLED.BUT,I THINK THE UNINSTALLER SHOULD DO THE TRICK.GOOD LUCK.
