Dl125 G5 no boot even to BIOS

I have an HP ProLiant DL120 G5 server that powers on, but doesn't boot up (Even to BIOS). The fans never spin down, and just continue to spin full-speed I've reseated all components, and reset BIOS(Take battery out and unplug for couple of mins). I've also removed each stick of RAM individually incase it's faulty, but no luck, still no boot Anything else i should try? Any suggestions? Thanks

oops, sorry, pressed Enter too soon. Unfortuantley i was unable to get to any BIOS Screen, and still was not able to get to a BIOS or Boot screen even after unplugging all Hdds and optical drives. So trying another disk didn't help either. I ended up leaving the CMOS battery out for about 15mins, and reseating the CPU, RAM and all cables again, then it booted up.. Strange but at least it's up and still working now!

If draining the CMOS battery worked, then it might go bad again. Make sure you have all the BIOS settings. Unless you have a short across the bus the power supply could be intermittently failing. An ohm meter would tell you if the power supply is putting out what it needs. The CMOS chips doesn't have anything to do with powering the fans.

SOURCE: My Hp proliant Ml110 g5 server powers on, but

1) disconnect hdd and check
2) update BIOS from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3984626&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3984625&lang=en&cc=us
not solved then change powersupply.
That's it

SOURCE: HP Proliant ML350 G5 wont boot ,just spining.

The G5 Series is fairly new, if you're within warranty, call 1800-okCompaq.

Could be a bad cable, a bad monitor, or bad computer hardware. Any display at all or any beep codes?

On the back, the ml350 G5 will likely have an additional Network interface jack-- this may be labeled ILO. The ILO network connect allows you to use another PC on the same network to access this system (like a remote control via VNC or RDP) even if it won't power up--literally. Inside the ILO page, (you'll need the IP address of the ILO, the default account is administrator, and the default password is listed ona paper tag attached in the rear or on a sticker. If you can get into ILO via web browser: https://ipddress of ilo, you can check the Integrated log, which can shed some light on any failures.

Hp proliant dl 180 g5 cooling fan issues fan given noise

I would power the server off. Blow it out with a can of air. Power it back up.. If it is still making a noise, you need to replace the fan.
