The unit stopped working. When it is plugged in you can hear relays pick up and drop out a couple of times and the red light on the front of the set blinks 2 times a second for about 10 seconds pauses and repeats. After about a minute the relays stop trying to pick up, and the light continues to flash. I have opened up the unit and identified the relays. They are on the power supply board. I have replaced the power supply board and I still have the same problem flashing light and the clicking relays. I cannot visually see and bad capacitors.

Replaced the sc board and tv works fine again.
SOURCE: tv shuts off after 10-20 minutes
its not the problem with ur electron gun tube or with any picture ic or sound ic. Every t.v. is microcontoller switched machine.
any damage to microcontroller ic that controls the switching will lead to this kind of problem.
0.01% chance of residue EHT voltage would have affected the microcontroller.

Follow these steps to figure out what problem is.
When you turn on TV, look at the back and see if the back light on. If it is on, the power supply and inverter work fine. The suspection now is main board and T-con board (the small board on the middle-top of the panel)
To find the problem from the main board or not. Look at the power supply and measure Vs on - turn on the TV, this approx 5 vlt DC needs constant once you turn on the TV. If it is drop or unstable - main board problem - replace it.
If Vs on is good - disconnect the T-con cable from the power sup. If power sup stop clicking - T-con need replacing. Hope it help.

Although a capacitor may look good, it may be weak or bad. Here is what you will have to do. Replace capacitor (location) 2074 which is a 25 volt 2200Mf at 105 degrees. Replace capacitor (location) 2081 which is a 35 volt 1200 Mf at 105 degrees. And you should change capacitor 2066 which is a 16 volt 10Mf at 105 degrees. Please be careful with the last cap mentioned. You can easily tear the PCB trace if you are not extremely careful. This should bring your TV back to life. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!
