Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Black Cartridge I have installed a new black cartridge but every time I print it says "Install a new cartridge. To continue with other colours press continue. Black colour will be stimulated. Text and photo quality will differ from those when using all cartridges. If empty cartridge is not replaced soon all printing will stop."

Mine is doing the same thing but with the yellow cartridge. It has been empty for a couple of weeks; we continued to print using "black only". Now we have replace the yellow ink with an authentic HP ink cartridge and it doesn't recognize the new cartridge. It is telling us to replace the cartridge.

Thanks for trying but it didn't work. I am still getting the same message even though I have done everything you asked me to do.

I have the same problem as the guy with the yellow. I tried the solution and it did not work. It would not align just showed that the cart needed to be replaced.

Hi,

take all catridges out and unplug the power cord and press and hold the ON button for 1 min and plug back the power cord and insert the catridges one by one. Press set up and scroll down to tools and under tools u wil have a option called align catridges or print head, do that it should resolve your issue with the printer.

In my case this happened with black cartridge out of ink, colour cartridge low; replaced black: had permanent alignment problem, though test print looked OK; wouldn't print black. Replaced colour cartridge, then it all worked OK, straightaway!

Samsung CLP-300 Printer not printing black well

You need to take it a couple steps further after your test print. Sounds like your print heads need cleaning or your cartridge may need aligning. It's best to do this each time you install a new cartridge. get more information and help from here .

Colour cartridge missing but I only want to print

No you cannot. Each one of your cartridges is smart chipped. When this cartridge registers as empty it acts as an on/off switch thus turning the printer off.'

You need to replace the empty cartridge in order to print.

Go printer settings and check option to print only black.

I just fix in new black and coloured cartridges and only black and red colours appear on my prints. the replaced coloured cartridge was giving similar print problems.

hi im josh in cebu phils. friend may i help you? it happen try to shake the cartridge that doesn't print.and install it again and just remember this: Problem: Your Color Printer Doesn't Print All Available Colors This problem is most likely caused by an old ink cartridge. It's not unusual for some colors to get depleted before others, throwing off your color output. If you're seeing less blue (or red or yellow or black) than normal, chances are it's time to change your cartridge. so thats all good luck

When was the last time you changed colour cartridge?
Your colour cartridge has probably run out. Once you install new colour cartridge, it should print in colour.

Does not print black

Most likely you have no black cartridge installed or it is empty causing your printer to use the colour cartridge for black. But if your colour cartridge has 1 colour which is less full than the others it causes black to become greenish or sometimes reddish depending on which colour is less. A new cartridge or a black cartridge will solve the problem.
