Please, may you tell to me what is ACER ASPIRE M1641 motherboard name ?

Re: Sata driver - ACER M1641 desktop PC « Reply #8 on: March 28, 2009, 04:26:23 PM » I have discovered the previously unknown model of the motherboard in this system. I have searched and searched and could not find it anywhere. With the actual model of the motherboard you can get supported drivers right from the manufacturer, the same way you could if you purchased a standard motherboard like asus or gigabyte.

I have determined this motherboard (at least my acer a1641-e1712a) is a MICROSTAR board. A link to a board with compatable drivers can be found http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=1499&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=170&cat3_no=2 .

The board is a MSI board using their mainboard search. My criteria went as follows...

Mainboard -> Intel Platform -> Socket 775 Chip -> Nvidia Chipset -> Nvidia MCP73 Chipset

That narrows your down to 8 or so mainboards, all of which use the same sata, audio and onboard video. My above link http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=1499&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=170&cat3_no=2 will take you to a board where you can get SATA, AUDIO and VIDEO DRIVERS.

Hope this helps guys!

Need to get a diagram to plug in cords from case since no markings on motherboard please email me a wiring diagram for the mother board accer MCP61-SM-AM

Hi.

This main board is a FoxConn. The socket is an AM2.

This model is not listed on manufacturer website. Download the manuals for the AM2 motherboards below, and check the connectors. They should be the same. Manual download link will be listed on page at the right hand side. Eg. See:Motherboard Manual.

· MCP61PM2MA-8EKRS2H · MCP61SM2MA-ERS2H · MCP61VM2MA-RS2H ·
MCP61PM2MA-8KRS2HV ·
MCP61SM2MA-RS2HV ·
MCP61VM2MA-RS2HV ·
MCP61SM2MA-RS2H

Alternatively use the Acer computer model name to locate the manual on Acer Support website.

Wiring problem

Usually the wire which has to be connected to motherboard would the purpose written on it.The motherboard also has the pin for the wire to be connected the pins are located near the IDE controller on the motherboard and the names usually be written next to the pin so all you need to do is to read and match each connection.

on your motherboard you will find these connections (each motherboard varies) just put the corresponding cables to the pins. it will tell you which is which on the end of the cable.

Hp sp 323091 001 motherboard manual

The information that you provided is not specific to the motherboard that you have. I'm assuming that your motherboard was manufactured by Intel. You will have more luck if you can find out what company manufactured the board and also the correct model number or name of the board.

However, most motherboard have a series of pins somewhere very close to the edge of the board and, this would be the edge that sits closest to the front panel. Most motherboards that I work with have a series of pins near the edges labeled "Panel". These would be the pins that you will use to connect the power switch, power LED light, HDD LED, etc.

Usually, there are even smaller letters that, if you look closely, label each set of pins for the appropriate connectors. Take a very close look along the edges of your board to see if you can locate these pins or the word "Panel" which would be written just beneath a group of pins on the board. Some boards even go as far as to label the pins for which connector they belong (for example, there will be maybe 2 rows of pins and some connectors will only use one pin, on one row while others may use 2 pins).

Hope this helps (that is if you still have the board or this problem)...

Help finding manufacters name

Microstar is MSI www.msi.com/ They manufacture the Motherboards for companies like Acer. The MSI website has a download function that should identify your motherboard and install the latest drivers. Depending on the age of the board you could use the chipset or socket information to narrow down your search.

Power problems

Hi Tarry101,
Can not help you because you have not listed the model name of the motherboard & the model number. You can find this on the mother board. Depending on the age of the board the model number will be written on the board, usually written in white lettering. (Example), "Asus P4XP-X or AOpend VKM400Am-S".
If you have the manual for the motherboard you can find the model number there.
When you do find the model number click the Ask Me button under my nickname & I'll go over the connections for you.

You must post the name of the manufacture for the desktop PC & model number. Or list the model name written in white lettering on the board & any revision number. Without this information we can not help you.
