Try to Pair again. ( Reset)
or else your mic must be busted.

Tip

C905 - Cant hear, earpiece problem.

This is a little tip for anyone having problems with their Sony Ericsson C905 where they cant hear anything whilst on the phone.

This is only if you cant hear anything through the earpiece, however it works normally when you have it on Loudspeaker...

There is a fault with the C905 ribbon flex, this flex connects to the phones, keypad and then runs under the screen and has pads for the phones earpiece to connect to.

There are 3 methods of solving the problem

1, If your phone is under warranty have an authorised Sony Ericsson service centre repair your phone for you, this is FREE and is the best option.

2, You can buy a replacement ribbon, for these handsets and change it yourself. It looks like the image in the following link
<a href="http://www.findmethatphone.co.uk/fixes/c905flex.jpg" target="_blank">C905 Flex</a>

3, If you are able to solder and feel confident you can try the following fix, you need to make a jumper from the right solder pad to the leg on the transistor just below, use low res wire and be very carefull...

Remember trying 2 or 3 on your handset, if your phone is still under warranty will end up voiding your warranty so only do this if you dont have a warranty...

This is a common fault on the c905, if its under warranty send it back if not youmay be able to get it repaired at a local shop, but more than likely it's time for a new phone

When I make or receive a call I cant hear caller but they can hear me. Seems like my microphone has died. it was fine last night! I've tried my blutooth and that is ok and also my speaker phone. How can I...

The problem is either in the speaker contact pads or the speaker itself, not in the micrphone. If you have the tools to disassemble the unit check the contact pads, clean it and lift up the speaker terminals to ensure it makes contact with the pads. If it doesn't work, check the speaker resistance using an ohmmeter. The resistance reading should be 20-30 ohms, otherwise replace speaker.
