Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

Nintendo ds lite charger

My dog chewed through the cable in my ds charger and i thought it would be a simple fix by just stripping the wires and re-connecting them....but for some reason its not working...this is the 3rd charger the dog has chewed through and dont plan on buying another one... was wondering if anyone had a rough idea of what i should do or what is causing the power to not go to the nintendo ds.... thanks in advance

My dog chewed my daughters DS Lite's outter shell. There are bite marks and it happens to be on the side where the power button was. Can this be repaired? There is no more power button, otherwise it's all...

if you are good with your hands at fixing things you can give it a go.... you can search on ebay since they have any and every part of each and every game system. just remember not to pay too much for em. one note of caution though. if you open up the system to repair it you will void the warranty.

(Note that pin 1 is actually the second point from the right. If you look closely at your DS Lite you'll see that the one on the far right is not actually connected to the card slot. You can't quite make it out from the pictures, but you get the point.)

When plugging in the dsi charger the orange lite comes on for anout 3 seconds then turns off

Maybe It's because it's chewed up (mine was chewed or something so I got a new one... I've been in the same situation, bud, but I couldn't do anything about the copper wire showing underneath.). Make sure to check the entire cord.

1) Try flicking on a power switch.
2) Unplug the actual charger from the wall, and plug it into a different outlet. The outlet you're using may be broken.
3) Make sure the charger is all of the way plugged into your DSi.

Really hope this helped!

Nintendo DS Lite - does not charge

i would suggest trying to find what the issue is, if you know anyone who has a different charger, try it on your daughter's ds. if it still doesn't work, it's a DS problem...if it's under warranty, go to whatever store you bought it at and have them fix or replace it. If you try the different charger and it DOES work, then the only problem is the charger...so then all you have to do is go buy a new charger...hope this helps.

Conection?

Here is a guide to dismantle an original Nintendo2.gif DS:

How to dismantle a Nintendo DS.

If yours is the NDS Lite, just find this video2.gif in youtube: "Disassembling Nintendo DS2.gif Lite"

And after opening it you can do your work. Make sure the flexible cables connecting the top screen part of your DS are well in place and not broken. Your problem may be only a loosen cable but in case the cable is broken you gonna need a replacement. Be careful not to damage the screen or other sensitive electronic parts on your device and you will be on your way.

Good Luck...
