the fact that is you need to generate a system file in your player. this can be done by two things. if you are having a voice recorder in your player, record a voice and store it in your phone. or record an ongoing fm song in the player and save it. after this try connecting your device .and still if the problem persists reset the device. thanks for using fixya. please dont forget to rate my solution
Plug it into the usb port. The Sansa 260 will show up as the next drive letter. Using the right mouse button click on the drive latter and select format. This will will format your Sansa 260. The operating system files will still be there but all of your music, movies, voice recordings, etc... will be deleted.
this is a common problem w/ the e250r and you can reset it by
1.Slide the button on top so it is on the orange
2.hold the record button on the left side
3.let it reset
4.download you music from a different place (not Rhapsody)
