It really depends on a couple of things. Try pressing F8 during boot up and disabling auto restart on errors. Usually this will give you an error code that you can look up online and find the solution. If that does not work try pressing F8 again during startup and try booting in safe mode, if it allows you into safemode then it is probally software related and a restore will work. If it will not let you into safe mode then it is probally hardware related. Try pressing F8 during boot up and select safemode with command prompt; if it allows the command prompt up type chkdsk /f This will check the ard drive for any errors and attempt to fix them. Once it is done it will reboot the pc. If that does not work you should try replacing the hard drive. Good Luck Hope I was Helpful.

Emachine wants to: " reboot an select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device an press any key " . I dont have a boot media or know what is the proper doot device....

The proper boot device is your hard drive, when you boot hit F2 while it is booting up and it will bring up the screen to change boot devices select the hard drive and save the settings and this should work if it dont it is possible that your hard drive has bit the dust.

Reboot and select proper boot device

Hi, ull need to check the boot device priority in ur BIOS which is accessable usualy by pressing the delete key at the start of the boot process. If everthing is correct there and yet it doesnt boot from ur hard disk, try changing it to boot from cd and check if it boots. If it does then i think either your hard disk is corrupted or your OS.

Computer beeping and saying reboot and select proper boot device

When you reboot, go to BIOS, restore factory BIOS settings. If that doesn't help, you'll need to reinstall your OS.
