Is your unit the small one or the large wave? In any case, the probable issue is that the controller IC is defective or that the power supply has a problem. It is rare for these to have problems with the amp section or the actual speakers. Any shop that deals with audio gear should be able to narrow down the problem. Please note that parts are not always available to all shops for these units. Can you update this with the model? I might be able to provide more details and possiblities.
Thanks,
Dan
PLUG IN YOUR HEAD PHONES IN - do you get sound ?
If you do Get
sound from your headphones it could be that your speakers blown and
would recommend Bose to take a look if still under worrentee.
if NOT You could still get it covered by domestic general
find them at this link
https://www.domgen.com
otherwise
if you dont want to pay for a repair take a look yourself - get a screw
driver open up the case as best as you can look at the speakers, you
may well find that you have a dry joint or a cable could have come
disconnected if so solder it back on and you've FIXED IT!
If this happened after a power outage , then try leaving the unit unplugged from AC main for one hour or so.
If that does not fix the problem, then there is an internal problem.
In that case better calling Bose service number listed on the owner manual. Even opening this kind of Bose units is difficult, the job must be done by a technician.
Let me correct what an expert just said:
"If you do Get
sound from your headphones it could be that your speakers blown "
Speakers do not blow, they can be cracked or broken, short out, or have a lose contact.
If they are broken you get cracklig sound, if there is a short unit goes on protection andd does not start up, and it is rather unusual that both speakers have a lose contact at same time.
If you get sould on headphones and no speakers it can also be a fault on the headphones jack, on the amp final, or on the input/output board, but unit should go in protection mode on the last two.

If it has a headphone jack have you tried to see if that works ok
Hello - I understand the unit has previously experienced a power outage, however have you try unplugging the unit or flipping the household breaker off? Wait approximately ten minutes; is there power to the unit? I suggest touching each button individually on keypad, do any lights turn on or does the display change? If any proves to be ineffective, I would recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately because it can possibly have a defective keypad.
