This is one of the few problems that is un-fixable, you must send it back to the retailer and they will send you a refurbished one, depending on your retailer this should take only 10-12 weeks

The 2 pieces that cover the lense came off,

This blog post outlines repair procedures for stuck automatic lens covers, and gives several examples on disassembly and reassembly. However, if you find that you are missing some pieces, you probably have already noticed that the camera works just fine without the lens cover. In that case, maybe consider leaving the shutters removed, and simply installing the outer lens ring to improve the camera's appearance. And pay a little extra care in protecting the lens, possibly by storing and carrying the camera in a camera case.

Can't change f-stop to higher numbers

That tiny silver post on the front of the body moves the pointers inside the body so you can see in the viewfinder where the aperture is set. It should move far enough that it lets you set 1.7 to 22. Check it to be sure the internal display matches the lens setting.
If it matches, and won't let you go all the way over, check the track for obstructions. Remove the lens and check the silver tab. It should go past the A in MINOLTA. Does the tab move all the way with another lens?
It sounds like something internal is blocking the movement of the ring or its linkage on the SRT.
I suggest a trip to the repair shop for the SRT. Garry Airapetov in Niles, IL repairs them at a very good price. He will fix it, clean, Lube, adjust it, and return it for around fifty dollars.
Look up Garry;s camera repair online to check prices and download the form you send with it.
He did a really good job with my SRT 101.

Lens cover opens only a **** on Sony DSC-W80

Please read carefully below procedure how to remove "Barrier Block" (what you call Lens Cover)..
Turn camera power ON so Lens will extend.
Take out battery so lens will remain extended.
First silver ring needs to be removed with help of tweezers as shown in below image..

Now you will see 2 screws at front of lens, unscrew to remove barrier block (lens cover) as shown in below image..

You need to have new barrier block with following part number..

Subject part is available in Part Store

Install new barrier block as shown following image..

Casio ex-s500 front facade around lens has come off

My wife accidentally dropped ours and the ring popped off when it hit the floor. It does just twist back on. You just have to get it lined up just right and then it will essentially snap into place. If you don't get the ring lined up right though it will just conitinue to fall off. I've had focussing issues with mine ever since the ring came off though.

I have dust under outer lens on my 75-300mm f/4 -5.6 III USM

Front element? You can remove this without alignment worries. The lens zoom mechanism tends to **** in the dust.

Have a look at the front element outer ring. There are 3 black screws. Remove these using jewellers screwdriver (y'know, a very small posi-drive one!). Remove this plastic outer ring. Now you can see three small silver screws, that are about the same size - when you try to unscrew them, they just rotate...

This is as they are not screws, but as mentioned elsewhere - they are plugs (if you notice, they are slightly under the casing. Get a small flat bladed screwdriver, and gently prise them out. Now you can just drop the front element into something sensible - like a microfibre cloth (give it a clean whilst you're there.

Get a rocket blower (NOT canned air), and blow away the dust, and you can use the microfibre cloth (or similar) on the small inner front element.

Then replace the outer front element - you will see where it drops into place - there are plastic guide tabs. Push back the silver 'screw' plugs.

Then screw back on the plastic outer ring and you're done - takes 20 minutes at the most.

How do you replace the lens cover for the Canon A620.

This blog post outlines repair procedures for stuck lens covers. An A400 is used as an example. But for the A620, you might want to extend your zoom all the way out before removing the camera's batteries. Also you'll be applying the ring loosening rubbing alcohol around the barrel's perimeter instead of the front as shown in the procedures.:

I used Super Glue and my camer ia stil working.  However you need to be very careful taht no glue gets onto the lens itself as it cannot come off and will give your pictures a blurred effect
