Samsung g 800 mobile phone key pad not functioning
I bought a samsung g 800 mobile phone from an authorised retailer eight months back.Of late three keys in the keypad does'nt work, i took it to the authorized service centre 'Cell Solutions' Domlur,Bangalore,Karnataka,India.I was told that some strip is faulty and had to be replaced, but they vaguely say that it may take about 10 days depending on availability of the strip. I am dissappointed with this,i have great expectations from samsung products.Hope the company may not let me down.

It cannot hurt to contact them, they may be amenable to giving assistance. You could play on the expectation that the phone would prove durable when you bought it. For top end phones the warranty is how long?I would have thought 2 years.
Rather than going throu a retailer who will not be very sympathetic
and who will probably just stick to telling you the warranty is not in effect you could try contacting the manufacturer's technical department or customer services .
There are three possibilities, one is the phone may be locked with any particular network, simproblem or any hard ware problem in the phone. If the mobile is locked,(you can confirm this by asking the place from where you bought the phone) you need to unlock it.To unlock your Samsung D 800 use the unique unlock code from Theunlockspot.com and remove the network restriction. If it is a sim problem request for a new sim from the network provider. If it is a phone problem get it to the nearby mobile store for hardware repair.
You mean PUK code ? PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Code. This acts as a security feature
on your mobile. To protect you in the event of theft, the SIM card is
immediately locked if someone keys in three different incorrect PIN
codes in succession. This also applies if you absent-mindedly enter an
incorrect PIN code three times in a row. The message "PIN locked" will
appear on the screen. In this event, you can fall back on the PUK code,
which comprises eight digits.
1)if its physically broken first and last thing you need to do is to take to phone manufacturer's retail store to get it repaired i hope the mobile is still covered under warranty. 2)if its not physically broken try to connect it to pc back up all your data and try to restore it to the factory settings using the mobile pc software provided through cd when you bought the mobile.if this still doesn't resolve the problem better take to authorised service center
Try using the function keys to enable the mouse. I'm unsure which of the 'F' keys it is, but if you can locate the picture, then hold down the Fn key + the appropriate 'F' key and hope that the mouse starts to work. Also you can try loading into the BIOS, hitting F9 to reload refaults, and then F10 to save and exit. Failing these both, best option would be to go back to retailer. Good luck
If its only three months old, take it back to retailer and they can either return to authorised repair agent for repairs or replace for you, just make sure that go to the retailer with the receipt and warranty information. I hope this helps.
