2000 Ford Fiesta Zetec S. The leaver under the stearing wheel which opens the bonet has broken.

From the bottom. Few times have I seen it broke at the latch. Reach up and cut the cable in half( as far as you can away from the latch). Then cut a couple inches of the cable sheathing of at the latch side. expose the cable, then pull the cable to open. If it did break at the latch, then you'll need a long pick(right angle or hook). You'll have to reach up in the latch to grab the arm to release the bonnet.

hi bit tricky u need to unclip the cloth from under the seat and roll it up half way till you can see the old cables then take the lever off and attach the new cable its usually the cable nearest the lever that breaks first

get assistant to push down on bonnet whilst you pull the lever ,then once you pull back the lever and hold it back they try to lift it so it clicks up a bit then you open it by the safety catch

fuse box under the bonnet i think

It is located on the driver panel below the steering wheel.

all Zetec engines (2.0 DOHC) are NOT interference engines. There are deep reliefs cut into the top of the piston to clear the valves when they are fully extended. There will be no valve damage if the timing belt breaks on a Zetec engine.

on the door there is a little lever near the spot where the post meets the door.it is marked .

its most probably the clock spring which you need to take the steering wheel off to fit

ive got the same problem and have been told it is 1 of the valves sticking- I have had 1 done already and been told that it is a common fault and if it continues to bring it bk and get the other 1 done.. the valve flap under bonnet doesnt open and close properly causing it to stick....just what ive been told?... zetec 03
