We have 2 printers and both have come up with the same problem. They out of the blue one day started flashing error light, stating "wrong cartridge". Have been through and put all new cartridge's in and still not wont work (same error message). Did the re-align & test but that wont work as error still showing. Please help...what do we do?

I think you are seeing "ERROR 5100: Cartridge Jammed", right?. Here is the most likely solution to this issue with your printer. The following procedure comes directly form Canon

increase the colour back and if this doesnt work try deep cleaning and if that fails its the cartridge ........i have had the same problem and deep cleaning on the printer via the computer program for printers solved it .
go to start..then to control panel look for printers and faxs icon right click it then gpo to properties and look for advanced and in you go direct the computer to printer deep cleaning and then try that first cheers... tids2u@ hotmail.com
