Kevcast Hi. I was reading you fine. But obviously you could not read anything I wrote. Are you looking for the number for the power supply? And where would I get it? I am in Los Angeles. Thanks. Kevin

Thats really wierd looks like some kind of bug. Would you like me to guide you to a repair place where you get both the part and the service. I really think you should try the fuses first.

You are looking for Cermaic fuses. They will look somewhat like this.

They may be in different colors and sizes but not that hard to locate.
The power supply board is found when you take the back panel of the set off. It would look like this

Why won't my TV power on?!

Other than the power supply, it could be a cold solder joint on one of the PCBs. Easy to fix, but almost impossible to find.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for blown fuses burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc. you have to this with the help of multimeter to read...

- You can look at the sample of the power supply board, the picture with the soldering side has labeling of what you should have on the output of the power supply, yours may be labeled on the top side of the board, there are high voltage on the board so you must be real careful, if you are not sure, let the professional handle it.

Good luck in solving the problem.....

I own a PANASONIC TC-32LX85 32″ TV I read the info that you posted about the POWER SUPPLY BOARD TNPA4484 but I can find the capacitor marked 3300uf 10V, and all of them look like new... they...

Not all power supply used 3300uf/10v, it can have many many values, he was using generic term for typical value.
You should get the service manual for this TV first. You then need to do some voltage checking. Please read and undertand some basic how the LCD flat panel TV works so you will get some unsderstbding how it works.

Tv powend will not do anything

Look for problems either in the power supply (bad caps, burnt parts, cold solder joints) module or the backlight inverter board (shorted out IC, transistors, transformer).
Do the voltage checking in the power supply first.

Lcd got hit by lighting

There is internal fuses in the power supply but this would mean removing the back of your tv, They would need to be replaced with the same ampage ect.... so read the fuse carefully.
Having said this i would be suprised if thats all it was considering it was struck by lightning, but you may be lucky
Check your power supply first for any obvious signs of damage if it is fried then take the part number of the board and Google or Ebay for a replacement.
Hope this helps

TV power supply burnt out

If you can read the numbers on the power board, sometimes really obscure and have the model number of your tv, you can contact the manufacturer and see if you can buy the power board directly. If not, contact a local tv shop and read the part number off to the tech and give him the make and model and see if he can locate it for ya. some of these parts have lifetime warranties so check with your manufacturer. hope this helps, j

MLT386X power supply

Hi wanagetdrunk, Nice handle is that a question or a statement? To test the fuse with a voltage meter you will need to test each end of the fuse and make sure the voltage is the same on both ends, in other words you want to make sure the voltage is passing through the fuse. If you have a multimeter set it to ohm's and measure across the fuse,if the fuse is good it will read 0. Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. lone99star

I checked power supply and power assy for voltage and its fine. I removed the Y-sus board and started checking for continuity, I started with the fuse (good) Then resistors, I found one very small resistor...

The small green resistor could be a pico fuse, check the markings on the board and look for an F and a number next to it. If that fuse is blown, it means something (Mosfet, transistor) got shorted to blow the fuse. To measure capacitors, you will need a capacitance meter but they rarely become shorted, so I would focus on the mosfets and transistors.

Will not turn on

It sounds like you have a power supply problem. I would suggest that if you are going to effect repairs on this unit yourself you get a schematic of the set and use a multimeter to test the power supply levels. This is good for a starting point, if you need any other assitance you can contact me or any of the FixYa experts to aid in additional troubleshooting.
