Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

goodluck!

If you're in the MATHPRINT mode, press

2ND [COS^-1] ( 8 - 3 2ND [sqrt] 2 1 right-arrow ) / 2 5 ENTER

If you're in the CLASSIC mode, press

2ND [COS^-1] ( 8 - 3 2ND [sqrt] 2 1 ) ) / 2 5 ENTER

In either case you should get an answer of about 103.

There are many types of calculus problems, including differentiation and integration. Would you care to be a little more specific?

You didn't say which part of mathematics you want to study or what is you previous knowledge.

For algebra see these courses:

On The Open University you can find even more courses and on this site you can find links to a lot of online resources for algebra (lessons, tutorials, games, problems...).

For calculus I recommend:

And if you have questions or you don't understand something you can ask here.

I hope I helped you :)

I've had this problem as well. The calculator has a program running on it that will not allow 2 (or more) functions to graph at once. To solve this:

1. Hit the "APPS" button.

2. Scroll down the list (close to the bottom) and find the application called "Transfrm". Press enter.

3. Highlight "Uninstall" and press enter.

Your calculator should now be able to graph as many functions as you would like!

Yes. Look in the calculus menu (2nd [CALC]). You'll find nDer, der1, and der2 for numerical differentiation and fnInt for numerical integration.

You'll find full details on these functions in the "Math, Calculus, and Test Operations" chapter of your guidebook. If you need a new guidebook, you can download it from http://www.education.ti.com

Enter the angle in degrees-minutes-seconds using the single-tick (') for all three parts. Do NOT use the degree and second symbols. In my TI-86 manual, it's on page 285.

Being in the correct mode settings helps. Plus, you usually have to program it to do the work first. You can buy Calculus Made Easy which shows the work for most of its solutions along with a host of other topics. The trick is not getting the calculator to show the work as it is getting you to program the calculator to run flawlessly first. Next, getting the correct solution. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Hello,

If by calculus problem you mean derivatives of functions, integrals, extrema and such things, I am sorry to inform you that neither the Casio FX-300MS, nor the FX-991MS can handle them. The newer Casio calculator FX-991ES is capable of performing numerical differentiations and integrations. There also graphing calculators by Casio FX-9750G, FX-9860G as well as by Texas Instruments (TI 83 PLUS/TI84PLUS) that are reasonably performant in that area.

Hope it helps.
