after restarting my pc only it plays,but it stops playing sound most of the time.

You need to visit the logitech web support page and download the driver for your model number at www.logitech.com allow it to install and then restart your PC.
If this fails to sort it out try going:Control Panel>Hardware & Devices>Device Manager you may see a yellow triangle at sound controlers, right click it then click Drivers [tab] then click "update driver"
Restart you PC
Check all conections are good
Try a different set of speakers to see if the fualt is with the speakers or your computer.

It sounds like your sound card is disabled. Go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager > click on Sound,video and game controllers.. Look to see if your sound card shows up. If it's there, double click on it to see if it says it's working properly or disabled.

download quusoft driver smart from here and run it to make sure you have the right drivers installed (it's only a 15 day trial but you only need to run it once). If that doesn't sort it your sound card may be dead and need replacing.
I have an Fujitsu Siemens Amilo D7830. I was updating chipsets to the laptop when it bluescreened. I had to reformat the HDD and reinstalled Windows Xp Pro SP2. Since then I have installed every conceivable Windows Update file there is and have updated all other drivers and chipsets. However, my soundcard is no longer working.
When clicking on the device in question in the device management screen, the following error messages are displayed for the Realtek AC'97 soundcard: This device cannot start. (Code 10), PCI bus 0, device 31, function 5.
I have attempted at downloading and installing almost every drive I can find for this device, and have followed the standard Microsoft help routines. i.e. uninstalling the device and reinstalling the device still with no luck.
I hope you will be able to assist, as my last resort will be to take it into the a techie shop i.e. PC World for them to have a look at it.
