Have you tried searching the web?? try searching on the manufacturers website...maybe they can provide a driver, or maybe vista doesnt support such model, but its a rare case...

I have a pc with a Windows 7 home premium and i have too (formerly) a LexmarkZ 601. I need drivers for my Lexmark. Thanks for help.

Please check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. Go to Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.
Now, there's Z601 driver specific for Windows 7, however, the vista drivers work. Download the compatible driver for your operating system using the links below:
- Lexmark Z601 Driver for Vista 32-bit / Win 7 32-bit - Lexmark Z601 Driver for Vista 64-bit / Win 7 64-bit
Hope this helps. Thanks.

Can't install Canon pixma IP1600 driver on Vista

Try downloading the driver module from this site:

http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010230.asp

Click on the link and choose your operating system as Vista and a language. Download the "Canon Inkjet Printer Driver Add-On Module". It supports 32bit and 64bit systems.

This should fix your problem.

Hope this helps,

Vista 32-bit driver for MF3110

Hi,

Go to Canon MF3110 Support

If the Drivers & Downloads tab is not selected, click on it.

From the drop down menu, select your Operating System (Vista).

A link will appear in red in the Drivers block that appears. Click on the link to download it. The best thing to do is to select Save when the download window opens and save it to your Desktop. You can then begin the installation once the download is complete.

The Setup Guide is also on that same download page if you need it. Just remember when it says to insert the CD, just double-click the file on the desktop.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Programming for a Canon Pixma iP4000

Hi!

The warning that you received was an Operating System incompatibility driver. You must download the correct driver for the specific Operating System like Windows XP, Vista or Mac.

For Windows XP, download the driver HERE

For Windows Vista 32-bit, download the driver HERE

For Windows Vista 64-bit, download the driver HERE

For Mac, download the driver HERE

Note: In using Vista driver, you should identify if you are using Vista 32-bit or 64-bit. Go to Control Panel > System to check for version of Vista that you are using.

The links contain the software and driver for your printer.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Canon MP500 all in one printer is not compatible with Windows Vista. Is there a solution for this problem, or do I need to buy a different printer?

My Canon PIXMA MP500, purchased in mid-2006, came with the (then) ScanSoft OmniPage SE2 software on a CD. The PC had WinXP Installed. I had no use for the ScanSoft it so I made no effort to install it.
Fast Forward:
Two PC crashes later, July 2009. Using Win Vista Home Premium
LOST, important WinWord document file, only a hard copy available.
I tried to recover, scanning the "Xerox" copy. The SE Version of OmniPage was very complicated but I succeeded in producing a replacement *.doc file.

It appears that newer editions of WinVista contain the right printer drivers for this Canon Model.

Does the MX 310 work with Vista

Looks like you will need to download a driver.

You'll need to know if you have Regular Vista or Vista 64-bit.
Here's how you can tell:

64-bit versions of Windows Vista are for computer users who have high-performance needs and are typically running a computer with 4 GB or more of Random Access Memory (RAM). The terms "32-bit" and "64-bit" refer to the way a computer's processor handles information. The 32-bit versions of the Windows operating system can only use up to 3 GB of memory.
The 64-bit versions of Windows can use more memory and help reduce time swapping processes in and out of memory by storing more of those processes in RAM rather than on the hard disk. This, in turn, can increase overall system and application performance, especially with applications optimized for 64-bit. For more details about 32-bit and 64-bit, see the Windows Help and How-to FAQ.
To find out what version of Windows Vista is installed on your computer:
  1. Click Start start.gif, click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and then click System.
  2. Under System, view the System type.
If you're running Windows XP:
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
  2. On the General tab, view the System type.

****************************************************
Now you know your system type and can download the correct driver from this page:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=123&modelid=15603#DownloadDetailAct

****************************************************

Let me know if that works for you. Be sure to follow all the directions.
