I loaded software for my Vimicro webcam, pulled it up the first time and it worked (one time)...now I get a black screen...please help

same with me I think it has to do with the plug and play interfering with the driver install.

AMCap v9.20 AMCap is a small yet fully functional video capture application compatible with Microsoft DirectShow. It is based on the sample AMCap from the Microsoft DirectX 9 SDK. AMCap supports still captures to BMP, JPEG and PNG formats and it remembers your Video Input, Video Standard and Video size settings from previous session. It has some nice features like multimonitoring support, zooming, aspect ratio and deinterlacing features.

Zippys web cam does it support win7. i have the driver cd but the drivers will install but the cam screen will appear blank

You need to download vimicro driver for vista. If you have 64 bit win 7 then download 64 bit vimicro driver for vista. It will work for win7

I haven't software for web cam driver Vimicro.

You have not provided which version of vimicro webcam you have, so I give you the link to the webpage with vimicro products.

Here you can find the drivers to the vimicro webcams, please select the one you need. If you do not find the one among them please reply to this post again specifying the version and I will find that driver for you:)

If you are not sure which one you use, please use the Vimicro detection tool, it will tell you the version:

Resolution change on my lap top screen when I load my webcam

I had this problem on my PC and I tried everything from updating drivers to re installing the software and updating my graphics card but nothing seemed to work.
And then as a last resort I right clicked on the icon on my desktop and chose properties and clicked on the Compatability tab and unchecked on display settings Run in 640x480 screen resolution.
This worked and did not affect the webcam in anyway.
