I have contacted Toshiba and becuz there is not a retailer close that can fix this, I am stuck with a laptop I cannot use. I am running Vista, didnt make a backup for my password (had no idea i had too!) now I only got one option, enter the password. I have a black screen with a blue box that says enter password. Now what? I have tried everything and anything I can think of as to what my password is and nothing works. I cannot find a toshiba rep that can help. I cannot find anything online as to what options I have, I cannot even get into the BIOS to try and restore. there is no other options that I can find... HELP!!! I have an HP that I was smart enuff to do a backup on after this mess... but I need this other laptop for school.. any ideas are worth a shot at this point!! Thanks so much for ur time!
this does sound like a bios password, which is not able to be cleared by many places, toshiba has kept this seceret from many tech such as my self. the only way to remove toshiba's bios password is to take it to them.
If this is a windows user password there is software online that can help.
