Question about Dell Latitude D620 Notebook

Upgrade to finger print reader

I bought this d620 used after about 3 1/2 month i found out that the upper left mouse button was bad (will repeat at random times) i have been looking to get a whole top with touch pad i currently do not have a finger print reader and i am finding them with a finger print read and would like to have one so my friend cannot figure out my password by watching. I am a skilled tech but i have not seen one with a finger print reader to check if it will work.

Main question: Can a palmrest with a fingerprint reader be installed in a system that currently does not have one?

Thanks.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Need to download and print out a copy of user manual for RCA Digital Voice Rercorder RP 5120

First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your technical support needs.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://audiovox2.info/docs/common/RP5120/RP5120_WC.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.

Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

To print out the contents this PDF document once you have it loaded onscreen, just move your mouse pointer to the bottom center part of the page and a toolbar will pop up. Just click on the printer icon of the left hand side of that toolbar to print the document. Otherwise just select the PRINT option from your internet browser's option list. On Internet Explorer this is usually found in the drop down menu under the FILE button in the upper left hand corner, or simply by pressing CTRL P. You may have to adjust the various PAGE SETUP / PRINT PREFERENCES in order to get the document to print out at whatever particular text size and format you want.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

icon on the desktop. Click the "Change a Setting" choice in the left column. In the window that appears, double-click the "Keyboard" icon. This dialog box handles all settings for your current keyboard. Another path to the control panel is to click the "Start" button at the bottom left of the screen. Click the "Add" button for choices of available languages. Click the "Properties" button for choices to include Dr. Dvorak’s keyboard layouts for two-handed typing or single-handed typing with either hand.

I have dv9000 notebook computer. how to config there finger print password

    1. In Windows, double-click the VeriSoft Access Manager icon in the notification area of the taskbar.
    2. On the “My Identity” page, click Log On, located in the upper-left corner of the page.
The VeriSoft Access Manager Logon Wizard opens.
    3. On the “Introduce Yourself” page, enter the user's Windows password, if one has been established,
    and then click Next.
    4. On the “Services and Applications” page, click I want to, and then click Register Fingerprints.
NOTE: By default, VeriSoft Access Manager requires registration of at least 2 different
    fingers.
    5. When the VeriSoft Access Manager Registration Wizard opens, click Next, and then slowly swipe
    your finger across the sensor.
NOTE: The right index finger is the default finger for enrolling the first fingerprint. You can
change the default by clicking the finger you want to register first, on either the left hand or
the right hand. When you click a finger, it will be outlined to show it has been selected.
    6. Continue swiping the same finger over the fingerprint sensor until the finger on the screen turns
    green.
NOTE: The progress indicator advances after each finger swipe. Multiple swipes are
    necessary to register a fingerprint.
NOTE: If you need to start over during the fingerprint registration process, right-click the
highlighted finger on the screen and then click Start Over.
    7. Click a different finger on the screen to register, and then repeat steps 5 and 6.
NOTE: If you click Finish before registering at least 2 fingers, an error message is
    displayed. Click OK to continue.
    8. After you have registered at least 2 fingers, click Finish.
    9. To set up the fingerprint reader for a different Windows user, log on to Windows as that user and
then repeat steps 1 through 8.
