LOL, sounds like you're in "picture review" mode. Except that you haven't taken any pictures yet, so there's "NO IMAGE" on your card just yet. To take a picture, you need to put your camera in "camera" mode. Slide that tiny slide switch in the upper right all the way up until it's next to that little red camera. Now take a picture.

How do I reset a Cannon Powershot sd1400is if it doesn't turn on?

Try taking the battery out and wait a few seconds and then put it back in.....make sure the battery is full. and Place it on the back with the lens facing up and take a look at the spacing between the lens and the lens housing. If you notice that the gap is not even all the way around the lens, the problem should be easy to fix. This type of a problem usually occurs if the camera was dropped while the lens was extended. Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest. You should hear a "click" as it pops back into place. Try powering the camera back on.

Thanks,
Satya

Nikson CoolPix L16 when the camera is turned on it displays "lens error". I can't take a picture and i can't access my pictures on the camera. It also jarrs halfway and holds a black version...

Try jiggling the lens. Use compressed air to blow out any grit around the lens barrel. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

Camera turns off after lens comes out in shooting mode.

I'd recommend that you stop banging or fiddling with the lens as it does not sound like a lens error (if it were so, you'd still get an error even in review mode). Instead it sounds like the brand of batteries that you're using may not be providing sufficient power.

Alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pics in a digital camera. Some may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras for the most part should only be used with rechargeable NiMH batteries. Most retailers sells these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may slap yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.
