Well thanks, but it doesn't change from the Tv either. So I know it's not the batteries because the same remote works on another Tv like the one not working. Any solutions to fix the micro-controller in the Tv?

Obviously ensure your batteries are good. It may well be though that the TV pickup is bad and possibly the micro-controller in the TV has gone as well.

On a flat screen it would almost certainly require replacement of the main board.

Why won't any universal remotes work with my LG tv?

The two possible reasons are:

1. None of the codes are correct for this model.

2. The remote infrared receiver in the set is bad.

(maybe the reason the other person got rid of the set?)

There are some ways around this depending on how you hook up and what you have for signal:

If a box (cable or sat) is connected to one of the sets of audio/video jacks on the set--switch to that input and change channels etc with the box!

Use the box remote for functions like channel and sound etc.

Why does the remote control change the channel in the other room when changing channels in the other room?

robbiequalls, from what it sounds like it could be the receiver is in Single Mode which means both TV's function as one. Pushing mode on the lower right side of the receiver to put it into Dual should fix the problem.

If the receiver doesn't have the mode button I would check the cabling to make sure the TV's are mirrored to eachother.

TV does't register the Nintendo

Probably so, if the video cables match up color wise then you should be ok there. Try changing the INPUT / SOURCE on the TV. Look for a button on the remote that says that and try different modes and inputs there. If you can't find that button try going to channel 2 on the TV and then going DOWN in channels with the the channel + - button.

Every TV is different in that regard.

Hope this helps

Im trying t0 program a Phillips TV with a RCA niteglo universal remote.

there are several. try each one seperate.

1. press and hold setup button until the red light stays on.
2. press and release the desired mode button (example t. v.) the light will blink and then stay on.
3. enter one of the 4digit codes.
note: if the code is valid the light will turn off if it flashes it is an invalid code.
4. with the device on press the channel up and down. if the remote only controls some of the functions try another code.

Codes:
0154,1174,0062,0204,0004,0184,0208,0205,0206,0207,0189,0183,0199,0200,0081,1149,1154,0288,0456,0003,0008,0068,0075,0086,0087,0140

If none of the the codes work try following these steps:

1.manually turn on the t.v.
2.press and hold the setup button.
3. press and release the tv button the light will blink once and then stay on.
4.press the channel button repeatedly up to 300 times until the device changes channels. the light will blink and then stay lit.
5. press and release the mute button to store the code the light will go off.

HI MY FRIEND sreeki.

Try this site:

It's the manual for a Phillips remote control. The codes should be rather universal. Otherwise, there is a way to program it without using a code.

Programming with Code Search

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.

3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blink, then stays lit.

4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device could be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing Channel Up changes direction to forward again. Press and release the Mute button to install the code.

Hope this helps :)
