Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, on most microwave ovens, the fuse is inside the unit. To be able to replace this, the outer cabinet has to be removed (undo the side screws). If you would trace the patch of the power cord, it would normally lead you to the fuse similar to the image below.

The ratings are stenciled on the metal part of the fuse and they are readily available from most hardware stores, Sear or even the friendly neighborhood electronics shops.

A few words of caution:

  • pls make sure the unit is unplug before attempting to even open the unit;
  • if the fuse is blackened, it is an indicator that some other component(s) maybe defective;
  • pls replace with the same rating/type of fuse.
Check and perform preliminary visual or necessary inspection. Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Check for a blown fuse first its 20amp 120volt. Be sure and get more than one because it you have a shorted diode it will blow it.

If your microwave oven doesn't seem to work at all, check these:

Fuses
Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it.

Door switch If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.

    I haven't found a repair manual for your model.

    First remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place
    with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power
    cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse
    sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and
    may be attached to a power board.

    If the fuse is not the problem check the door switch.

My Advantium suddenly stopped working while using it. Acts as if it is unplugged. I checked the electric circuit and surgeprotector they are okay. It acts as if it blew a fuse, but I don.t know where...

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

Does it have 110 volts on it? If so its bad.
If not then look for a bad relay.
