Question about Traxxas T Maxx 3.3 Monster Truck
Im thinking its the remote or transmssion but if it is the remote how do i get it out of reverse
There are a few things you can check besides the transmitter (remote). First, check all the other functions like steering and throttle/brake.
If they are working fine, try recharging the receiver (Rx) battery pack and putting fresh batteries in the transmitter (Tx).
Then, check to see if you can pull the linkage out by hand. If you can move the servo by hand and not with the Tx open the Rx box (with the antenna sticking out) and check to make sure none of the servo lead wires came loose.
If you can't move it by hand, it is most likely the dog gear or shift fork inside the transmission.
If the servo lead is tight, you can move it by hand, and it still won't move, check to see if you have a solid green light on the Rx box and a blue light that when you roll the truck (engine off) it should blink off and on. Make sure you have the Tx on also.
If you have a red light and no green or blue light, the Tx is off, low on battery power, or one of the frequency crystals is loose or damaged (replace if the latter).
If the green light is on but flashing, the Rx batteries are running low. If the blue light will not flash when you roll it foreward slowly, there may be a problem with the sensor that goes to the transmission.
There are many solutions to a simple problem but if you are still having trouble try these methods and tell me your results. If you are in the Missouri area I am very skilled in fixing these trucks and would be happy to take a look. I can fix most any problems and get your truck running better than new, tuned for racing and maximum power.
P.S. these are solutions for a t-maxx with a traxxas opti-drive system. If you have a different type of vehicle, tell me so I can find the most specific solution for your exact vehicle.
