Your controls are inside the refrigerator section.the one on the left is for temperature and the right one is for freezer air control. both should be set at the mid point to get average temps in both sections. if you dont have proper temps, then check to see if your coils under the unit are clean and lint free.
if you clean the coils and still dont have good cooling, then you may have a seperated heat exchanger.
it happens alot on this model and it will cause the unit to be almost cold enough but ice cream and fruit type drinks wont freeze solid.
the heat exchanger is expensive to repair, 400-500 bucks and it might be time to look for a new unit.

My Roper refrigerator has water inside it at the bottom and on lower level shelves. How can I correct this?

Hello,

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain through then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the center

Good luck

I hope this helps

Will not defrost . Is it a continuous run, 8 hour or 10 hour defrost?

Good day,
It's an 8 hour cumulative running time control. It runs when the compressor runs, and as well the defrost thermostat in the freezer compartment is closed. That's for the running mode, in the defrost mode it runs whether the defrost thermostat is open or closed, and as well whether the thermostat is on or off.
If it's a defrosting problem, it could well be the defrost thermostat, and in rare cases the main heater. They are both located behind the rear panel in the freezer compartment.
In order of frequency of failing,
1. Defrost thermostat
2. Timer
3. Main heater
4. Harness wiring plugs in the freezer compartment that connect these items.

I have a rooper top frezer refrigerator the refrigerator does not get cold because the ducts that connect to it freeze, I change the timer, check the heater,is good , change the defrost thermostat, but...

it seems to me that you have a clogged drain, that is located in the freezer compartment behind the panel. make sure that is not clogged. that will cause the issue you are having.

Refigerator temp is rising Lower freezer compartment seems to be fine

Check rear wall of freezer by feel for frost. Frost indicates likely problem in the defrost system. Defrost heater (in freezer), defrost thermostat (in freezer) or 1 of Defrost timer or Defrost control (Circuit board) generally located in Refrigerator compartment but may be inside rear of outer case.
