Measure the fans in inches.

1 inch = 25.4 millimeters

Go here -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=case+fans

I didn't wear my Michele CSX 36 w/ diamond watch for a few days..When I went to put it on the time was wrong. So I tried to correct it and now it has not kept accurate time w/in a 24 hr period. Fo

I am pretty 100 percent sure that Michele CSX 36 diamonds only comes with a swiss quartz movement not an automatic movement.
So the problem seems to be that the battery is dying and need to be replaced. Stopping and going is usually a sign of a battery dying in a swiss quartz movement.
So it should be nothing major and just a battery.

Need a new globe

I'm assuming you need a globe for a ceiling fan, since this is posted under an electric fan heading. Without any brand or model to go on, I can't give you any specific links to fan part sources. But most big-box home improvement places (Lowes, Home Depot) and large hardware stores carry generic replacement globes to fit common-sized light fixtures. The big-box places also can get replacements for the brands they sell if you're looking for an exact replacement. You can also check their websites. Several online sellers of fan parts also offer a range of sizes and styles of replacement globes. You may not be able to find the exact part in all cases, but there is always something available that will fit.

WANT TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL A PROCESSOR

First you will need to know what kind of socket you have on your motherboard, so you can purchase the correct CPU for your replacement. Intel and AMD have lots of different socket sizes so don't overlook this point. If you have the CPU that you are going to replace, all you need is a screwdriver, thermal paste, and CPU fan.

1) Open the case cover with screwdriver, and open side panel to locate CPU.

2) Using a screwdriver or sometimes just release clamps to take off the CPU fan.

3) Release lever on the side of the socket to release the CPU.

4) Pull out old CPU and install new CPU, (Be very careful not to bend the pins on the CPU.)

5) Put small amount of thermal paste on top CPU.

6) Replace CPU fan and connect power to the fan, replace cover.

Now in a perfect world this should be it, but if you upgraded you CPU you should go into you BIOS and check the settings for your CPU. To make sure the voltage is correct.

Look here if you need more help.

Cooling fan froze up from layer of dust on top of heat sink. Need to buy new fan. cannot determine size. 80mm too big

This is easy, if its a PC desktop cooling fan what you can do is take the unit/just the cpu down to any FRY's eletronics or computer store and have that fan replaced, these are standard also most are universal

You can also take out the fan you going to need to do that anyhow because its being replaced and take that fan down to the computer store. A measuring tape would also determine the size really quick.

Thanks and please do be considerate while passing threw fixya to rate and leave feedback for each expert that helps you today.

Fan Noise on Dell Dimension 8100

All computer fans have a general design.  The name in front of "fan" really refers to the designation.  You'll see case fan, processor fan, CPU fan, cooling fan, etc.  In the case of CPU/Processor fan, some are sold with heatsinks (the metal block sitting on top of your CPU).

The first thing you want to do is make sure the fan is clean.  Chances are dust buildup is causing the excess noise.

If that's not the case and you're looking to replace the fan, then you first need to find out the size of the fan. General sizes(diameter X width in mm) are listed on this page:

http://www.svc.com/case-fans.html

Generally, you're looking for something that will match the size of what you're replacing & push enough air at a reasonable noise level to cool the heatsink/CPU.  You want to stay in the area of 30dBA max for noise.  You also want to see if it has a 3-pin or 4-pin connection.

For example, if you have an 80mm fan, I would suggest something like this:

http://www.svc.com/saf-b82-19.html

It's pretty quiet with good airflow.  Also, it has a 3-pin connection, but includes an adapter for a 4-pin connection.
