How did they check the freon in the home? You can feel the front(evaporator coil)coil on all four sides. Are you sure the motor is running fast enough? If the four corners do not feel cold in about 5 minutes or so, there is a compressor problem, Capillary tube blockage, moisture in the system or you are low of freon. Good Luck

There is ice forming on the evaporator coils. This is either from a low freon charge or a leak in the seals or windows and doors. Could also be that the drains are not working and water is building up and freezing

Model TFH30PRTA NOT KEEPING ICE CREAM FROZEN

Ice cream will get hard when the temperature is closer to - 20 C or -1 F scale. Water becomes Ice at 0 C or 32 F scale.

Ice cream soft means your freezer is not cooling enough.

You were cleaning the coils? Both condenser and evaporator coils? Cleaning coils and then loosing cooling in the fridge is not a good sign or combination. May be there is a freon leak and the seal system is low on freon now.

Call a service tech to check the seal system.

Unfortunately, if it is a leak you may eventually buy a new fridge after spending money on freon fill up, freon system sealant, leak check etc etc... No good news. Sorry

I would suspect the unit was freezing up the whole time you were out if the ice is all the way out to the condenser and over the compressor as well as it being thick and solid. The shrader type valve could have finally leaked out enough and you can check by placing soapy water over outlet if the unit still has some pressure and it will bubble up. I would venture to say it is on copper in the evaporator compartment that has been rubbing together over the years or connections right where the end of the coils pass through the metal endplate on the coils. Your pricing should be in the range of $90 service call that counts first hour plus refrigerant at $35 per lb of refrigerant.

Air conditioner constantly running, not cooling house

Check and see if it is froze up. Check big line at outside unit for ice. check filter and replace as needed. Check outside fan to see if it is running. Wash out outside coil If fan and compressor are running and has hot small line at outside unit. If not froze up and coil is clean you will need to call in a pro. If compress over heated you may need to wait for it to restart if coil was dirty. Again make sure out door fan and or unit is running and clean.

Call it should still be under warranty. It could range from low on freon to being wired wrong. but call the people who installed you have at least a 30 guarantee.

sounds like the coils inside the air handler/furnace are freezing up. likely cause is the freon charge is incorrect (probably undercharged). it may have been correct when the tech did the work but some may have leaked out. it is slightly possible too that the system is overcharged. you should have the system pressure verified, and then have it checked for leaks.

Carrier air-v AC is not blowing cold air

There could be a freon leak, or just low freon levels. If this is the case, you have to call a certified a/c technician to recharge your system.
