SOURCE: MS9700 secondary voltage

I am working on the same situation. DId you first check to see if it isn't the fuse that has blown? Radio Shack has a 4 pack of 2 amp fuses for $2.49 which I think will work. Their catalog number is 270-1064. These as 5x20mm in size (the 1-1/4 x 1/4 inch is way to large) and they are slow blow - designed for this type of household equipment to protect from short circuits and power surges. If you are lucky maybe it is just the fuse. Since I can find no other information about this unit - especially the transformer - I'd check eBay for a working one. If you can get it cheal and it works test the power output with a VoltOhmMeter (VOM) and once armed with the info you can let me know too what the output is . You can then get a new transformer - have 2 working units - can keep or sell one to recoupe your eBay purchase. Just a thought. Hope it is only the fuse.

SOURCE: Power transformer appears bad.

don't bother with a transformer. use a 12vdc 2amp power supply, the unit has a 8v regulator. remove the bad transformer and connect the power supply. polarity doesn't matter because the unit has full bridge rectifier that will provide the proper polarity.

No power light on my hitachi modelcx-36w cd tape radio player but power to the machine the fuse is fine

If the radio has a power transformer check there is AC voltage to the primary "fuse side", [ 2 wires ] if yes check the secondary side, if no AC voltage is present the power transformer is open at the primary. The part must be replaced.

WAVE radio transformer bad ???

If you can check ohms, you can also read volts. Open the radio again and look for DC volts on the rectifiers capacitors. They look like :cans", normally the color is blue. Check for positive dc v. against chassis ground. If no + tension, your rectifier or your secondary are open.

Emerson Microwave stopped working

Have 1 of 2 choices, the main fuse or the control board for the front switches and clock. primary of the small power transformer has opened. Unplug the unit and take case off and measure the fuse with an ohm meter. if u read 1 ohm or less then fuse is good. then measure across the main power plug tips. If read open then the power transformer is bad. Need to replace the board as not sure if transformer is available.

Bose wave radio does not turn on

Considering that power is present and all fuse are OK, check R406 for open. Check for Q401 also, the 5V supply to display.
Hope this will help.
