Sorry it took so long to get back to ya. Wife & I are laid off & had to wait for unemployment checks to pay for a new compressor. Thanks for all your help. It was a little aggravating not having done this kind of repair work before but it's not like I didn't have the time & it was a lot cheaper than getting a repair guy..

    Thanks again from Atlanta,

The feezer side is making a loud noise and will not stop. it seems to still be cooling just fine on both sides. thier is no burning smell or anything. i tried dissconnecting the ice maker and that did...

From what you're describing it sounds like the freezer fan motor is causing the noise you hear. The freezer fan is the only moving part in the freezer section. I recommend replacing the freezer fan motor & fan blade together. If there is ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer then the sound is likely from the fan blade hitting the ice and you will need to defrost the unit.

Frigidaire dishwasher noticeably louder - circulation motor?

Try to position the machine, so that you can run the cycle and watch the dish washer. Remove the back panel and hear the sound of origination. Take suitable action as per your convenience. You can clean & replace the bearings if they are worn or replace as a whole unit.

Weatherking heat pump sounds noisy but has a 20 degree air difference from intake to vents, is this normal?

Without hearing the "noise" it is difficult to diagnose via internet; however, I can tell you that the 20 degF temperature difference is a good sign.

If the noise is at the outdoor unit, try to determine if it is the casing or something else. Sometimes the casing can rattle and/or vibrate that can cause a sound. Sounds can also come from refrigerant lines rubbing against the casing. Other noise sources at the outdoor unit are the fan motor, fan blade assembly, and compressor. You can remove one of the fan motor wires from the contactor, tape off the end, and start up the unit for a few seconds to see if the noise is still present. Then you can replace the wire and remove the compressor wires from the contactor and repeat the test. This will help you determine where the sound is coming from.
If the sound is coming from your indoor unitl, the most common sources are loose tape, Blower wheel, blower motor, or blower housing. Also look for loose panels.

Without being onsite with toolbox in hand and being able to actually hear the sound, I hope you find this information to be helpful to you moving forward. :-)

Now this is a broad complaint!! LOL! Where do we start? What does the noise sound like? If it sounds like a bird chirping, it's your evap fan motor. If it sounds like somethings hitting the fan blade, your unit's frozen up with ice and needs to defrosted COMPLETELY and a new defrost system replaced. Call us and we'll be sure to ge the right parts out to you right away asap so you can get this unit back up and running again! We look forward to hearing from you and hope to be able to work with you more.

Stop running the engine. Check the engine oil level. It should have a yellow colored handle, pull it out and check at the bottom of the stick for oil. If it is within the range on the dipstick, you need some engine work done. If you don't have any oil on the stick, or it is lower than the range, just add more oil, a little at a time until you get it back within range.

Is it a 3.9? Does it sound like it is coming from the front of the engine(timing chain)? From the factory the 3.9 didn't come with a timing chain tensioner. They are available after market.
