Call 1800-4myxbox
They should repair it
This is a defect that should be covered by warranty.
The soldering has come loose on the CPU.

Good luck!

They have extended the red "ring of death" warranty to 3 years.

It is but it is due to soldering issues with the CPU. Tell them you know it has a 3 year warranty on this issue. We have these repaired all the time.

Three flashin red lights

Hi,
This XBOX problem is more commonly known as the RROD (red ring of death).
The problem is caused by the GPU (graphics processing unit) overheating and the culprit is a bad design flaw with the X-clamp. The x-clamp is what holds the heat sink nice and tight on the GPU so heat can be dispersed properly, it has to be modified.

Check this youtube video out if you think you are up to doing the job yourself >>>>>>>>

If not then you will have to spend quite a bit of money to have the problem repaired for you.

Good luck.

Thier is the red light that is shown instead of green

You have a problem with your hardware. This happens to about 30% of xbox's over time. It is called the red ring of death. You need to reflow the solder under the GPU chip to fix it, find an xbox repair place on ebay.com

X box 360 3 red lhits no picer or sound

This means that there is a problem on the hardware on the unit already now there is a temporary fix to this although it would be best if you have this unit serviced already. The link to the temporary fix is a video on you tube. This has worked for a couple of friends as well as some poeple I have suggested this to on Fixya.

Xbox is red ringing...no response on screen.

I take it you mean four red lights in the ring?

According to a Microsoft article:

This issue may occur for one of the following reasons: • The audio-visual (AV) cable is not connected correctly or plugged into the Xbox 360 console. • The console is not detecting the cable. This issue does not occur if the AV cable is plugged incorrectly into a television, a stereo, or a VCR.

The article goes on to discuss potential fixes, so it's worth checking it out.
