Car Alarm no longer works

I have a 2002 Mazada Tribute. I tried to jump start a friends car and ever since my alarm system doesn't work. This system was installed over a year ago. The old system is still there so I can use the keyless entry but no alarm. The New system doesn't work but the red light still comes on the button.

As I drive down the road my locks keep unlocking and relocking. I think that when my car is not on, the locks are doing the same thing. Can any one help?

Thanks, I was thinking it could be a fuse. The relay is another good option to check out.

You have Blown a Relay in the Alarm System. This VERY hard to Diagnose over the Internet. I would take it to the Person who installed the New alarm and have them run a Coder on it to locate the Relay at Fault.

2002 Mazda Tribute. The car alarm is blaring and car won't start, I don't think it's the battery?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

That sounds like the alarm and engine immobilizer needs resetting.

My car wont start but has Power

DOES YOUR CAR CRANKS OR IS COMPLETELY DEAD ONLY LIGHTS? IF IT CRANKS AND DOESN'T ENGINE RUN THEN IT IS EITHER THE ALARM ( IMMOBILIZER )SYSTEM ACTIVATED,OR THE IGNITION KEY FAILURE. IF YOU HAVE A SPARE IGNITION KEY TRY AGAIN ( THE KEY TO BE THE ONE WITH CHIP INSIDE ).IF IT IS COMPLETELY DEAD THEN YOU NEED THE ASSISTANCE OF A QUALIFIED PERSON TO DIS ACTIVATE THE ALARM AND CHECK ALSO YOUR SMART KEY AS WELL .

1998 dodge intrepid won't start!

Well, you can try unplugging the battery for a few minutes and also cycling the key back and forth in the ignition to try and reset the car alarm. I'm thinking that it may need to be jump started though too if the battery is low, as it may not be turning over fast enough. Let me know how this works out for you and what worked and didn't work.

Car alarm stopped working.. Car wont start

the jetta has a faulty alarm system from the factory i have been working on one in my shop. the alarm moddule is inside the dash behind the light switch and has a 10 pin connector and a 6 pin connector. this can be bypassed if you disconnect both connectors and jump the two large wire on the 6 pin connectors, these wires operate your starter. the car will start and run but your alarm will no longer be active. the door locks and everthing else will still work. the only issue i am having is the factory radio isn't working because it is controlled by the alarm. but worse case scenario i can use an aftermarket radio if need be.
