If you got a MISSIL SD-2415 then this should work:
Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage
Click on Disk Management
Right-click on your Thumbdrive(the file system should be labeled FAT32) Space and select Open
In that Drive you can place all your music, movies, and other stuff in. Use the CD that came w/ the MP4 to convert the movies into the proper format.
Hope it helps :D

Since your "downloading" music let me assume that you can transfer videos to the missils x ideo folder butr there not working, if so;

I installed "MP3 Player Utilities 5.09" on a "XP Pro SP3 N" [no media player] system and and got an error when it started and it didn't work. It worked on a similar system with "Windows Media Player 11" and the it worked on the first system after "Windows Media Player 9" was installed. Both systems already had "DirectX 9c"

MP3 Player Utilities 4 is available at;

http://www.esnips.com/doc/14b5a3c2-729e-437e-ab96-17a011142f75/MP3%20Player%20Utilities%204

I don't know if it works.

More CoDec's were required. After trying several CoDec packs the one that worked is "Combined-Community-Codec-Pack-2008-09-21.exe"

http://www.soft82.com/download/windows/combined-community-codec-pack/

"MP3 Player Utilities 5.09" doesn't handle DVD's very well and it's best audio offered is 96 kbps, a better solution is "AVS Video Editor", but it's not free.

http://www.avsmedia.com/AVS-Video-Editor.aspx

With AVS Video Editor 3.1 running:
Click "Capture/Import".
Click "Import Video".
Navigate to and select a file, select and copy the filename to the clipboard.
Click "Open".
Drag it to the "filmstrip" window on the bottom, if there are any other files there, delete them.
Right click the file, click "Properties", click the "Properties" tab and scroll to see the audio bitrate, note it and click "OK" or "Cancel".
Click "Save Movie".
Click "To AVI".
Set these parameters in the dialogue box;
Video Format: XviD MPEG-4 Codec.
Framerate: 30 fps.
Frame Size: "320 x 240" for 4 x 3 or "320 x 200" for 16 x 9 or you may have to leave it at "Project defaults".
Width: 320.
Height: 240 or 200.
Audio Format: MP3 - 64, 96, 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps, select one equal to or lower than the source files bitrate.
Frequency: 44100 Hz.
Channels: Stereo.
Click "Next".
In the next box you may paste the filename in field 1 and select a destination in field 2.
Click "Start".
It'll be faster if you close the "XviD Status" window and uncheck "Conversion Preview"

How do i put videos into my missil mp4 player in an easier way to explain?

These made in China MP4 players are quite budget ... however,I'vemanaged to get mine working just fine. Just follow these steps:

1.Chargethe unit. (These things come with a dead power supply, soyou'llhave toto charge it with the provided USB cable... or any cable such asonethat works with a camera. you'll not be able to load it orturn itonuntil this has been done. 3 hours later your computer willdetectnewhardware (USB mass storage device) and install the appropriatedrivers.

2. Loading MP3's... there are 2 ways to go about this...

a) If you have the latest Windows media player click on the SYNC tab and follow the directions.

b)Open"My Computer" you should be able to see a new drive (probably E: F:orG:) double click to expand it, you should see a bunch of folders, simplydrag and drop your MP3s to the Music folder.

3.Converting andLoading Video: The included program that comes withthesecheap-***players is a bag of $#@! so dont even bother with it.

The best program to convert videos to work on this thing can be found HERE

-Pick the first one (note:this file is zipped so will need to extract it),
pick up a trial version of WinRar HERE

-Once extracted, go ahead and run the program...click ADD

Choose your input file, and output path,

Youwillneed to know the resolution of your screen. Under Playertype, chooseSUNPLUS AVI and select the video resolution of your Missil,30frames/sec and the best sound/video quality and hit start.

- this process takes a while (30-60 min) depending on file size.

- Once complete, simply drag and drop (cut and paste) the converted file to to the VIDEO folder on the players drive.

3.Finallydisconnect the player from the computer, it will say"pleasewait..building playlist" once this is done you're good to go

I hope this has been helpful... and please... dont forget to rate this solution.

-For loading music just use windows media player, click the sync tab and follow the directions.

-for video the best program is HERE note you will need to know the resolution of your screen, check the box if you still have it because i cannot find it on the net.

The battery on my brand new missil MP4 only last 20 minutes

Hi There,                Make sure you fully charge the device for 4 hours. On the setting on your device you should have a screen saver to shut off the screen display in a few second. Set this to saver battery time and set the auto off function if not in use for a long while to save more battery time. If your display screen stays on all the time that is the reason your battery dies so fast. Also playing your music loud for long period of time can drain the battery fast too.

MP4 Missil not working

I used real player to get songs on my missil sd-2415 MP4 player. You need to use the driver disk it came with to get it to work. Once you've used the driver you should be able to just plug your player into the computer via the USB cord, open real player Version 11, compatible with Windows XP, although the driver says win 98, it worked fine with my Windows Xp. Nothing really comes up once thr driver has been downloaded, so don't get confused, just follow the driver install wizard and it should be fine. Then on Real player just click on removable disk or player not sure of the exact wording but it's removable somthing the just drag and drop or click to move music from your playlist onto the player.
I had to fiddle around with this player a bit because the instructions are VERY LIMITED! that's putting it mildy but hey it is what it is. This little player is quite neat once you figure out it's little quirks! Good luck!
