Question about Kenmore 64722 Electric Dryer

Dryer will not start

I have a Kenmore Elite dryer and the use has power . After selecting a cycle option and start button the unit will not start only CLICK ....If i push the start button a 2nd time the unit will beep ....Please Help Thank You

Re: Dryer will not start

If if "hums" like the motors is working you drive belt may have broken. If it makes no noise other than the click it could be a blown thermal fuse (there can be several) or a seized motor.

Kenmore Elite Oasis Electric Dryer - no power (PF code)

Press and hold the "Start" button to restart the dryer cycle if the "PF" (power failure) error code appears. This code often appears when a cycle is interrupted before it completes. You may also check the breaker or household fuse, and ensure the machine has not come unplugged.

PF - Power Failure - PF error code indicates a power failure during the dryer's cycle. Press and HOLD start to continue the cycle, or press off/pause to clear display.

Need to initiate cleaning cycle

to enter the cleaning cycle:
Select the RINSE & SPIN button.
Select Low SPIN SPEED'
Select the 2ND RINSE Option.
Push the END of CYCLE SIGNAL button 4 times within 5 seconds to start cycle

Dryer has power won't start cycle

Hi, check first the power outlet , if still does not turn and motor humming during starting time , test the capacitor with multi tester, disconnect two wire of capacitor if not reading replace capacitor .
