2002 Chevrolet SS Monte Carlo, front passenger seat quit moving forward and backward. Has heated seats how do you repair or get new motor for it.

Did you check fuses and relays first? Diagnose first, then repair. A new motor comes after you connect 12 volts to the old one and see if it works.

My 2001 monte carlo ss 3.8 has this problem every time I put my car on forward the motor jumps even on reverse I changed the top supports but it stayed the same what should I do now ?

replace the bottom supports as well

I just want to know where is located the computer in mi monte carlo ss is a 2001

I belive the ECM is under the dash above emergency brake . The PCM is under the seat and the BCM is under the air filter box under the hood.

2003 monte carlo front left brakes squeals after 15-20 mins of driviing, seems to disappear when i apply brakes or turn right. get to point wher it can be constant squeal

have the brakes bled and checked for a sticking caliper or bad flexible hose leading to the caliper.

My shifter is stuck in park

If the steering wheel is turned the continue to turn the steering wheel in the same direction as the tires are going while applying firm pressure to the brake the try to pull it out of park. I know this sounds crazy but they have so many safety swithches on them, you may have one not activating.

Fix front wheel bearing 2001 monte carlo ss

Remove the wheel, remove the axle nut, remove the brake caliper and bracket, remove the brake disc, remove the three bolts that go through the back and hold the bearing assembly in the knuckle, disconnect the abs connector and slide the bearing assembly out. Reverse the procedure to install the new one.

My 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS brake light is out but the running light is still on.Is it the same bulb,just needs to be changed?

YES. the bulb has 2 filaments, and one is bad.

2002 Monte SS how do you get the lights to turn off in the acc mode or if you are running your car at the drive ins?

i believe if u apply emergency brake it shuts them off

2001 monte carlo ss. Rear wheel bearings making a grinding noise

It is pretty easy, there is not much labor involved if it has anti-lock brakes in the rear you will also have to un-plug the wire harness attached to hubs.

Actually - I had the same problem and replaced my brakes 4 times in a year. YES 4 TIMES because of the whistling. I switched from metallic to ceramic pads and works like a charm! Ceramic will not allow the noise, plus I have found to have much better control over braking and short distances.

They will Make noises for a Short Period of Time until the Glaze is worn off of the Pads. Been a ASE Certified GM Mechanic for 35 Years.
