How to know if the aircraft is airworthy?

From a pilot's point of view, every aircraft comes from the factory with a checklist of things to look at specifically before every flight to ensure airworthiness. It's generally called a walk-around inspection, checking flight controls for security and condition, tire condition, engine for obvious problems. propeller, fuel and oil quantities. and many other things. The walk around also includes checking to ensure all required paperwork is there including weight and balance, airworthiness certificate, aircraft registration, operator's manual. etc. I would also check the log book to verify the transponder check was done within the past 24 months and the annual or 100 hour inspection is current. From an A&P mechanic point of view much the same applies, however I would look much closer at the maintenance logs for engine and airframe.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X won't work correctly on Windows 8. Graphics and control issues.

Reads like a graphics card problem, either graphics acceleration is turned off/not available, you need updated drivers for the card, or you need a different card that is compatible with that program. It probably mentions what cards will work with it.

SPOT VIEW FIXED

You need to assign what view you want to the cooley hat on your controller in FSX\Settings. Rethe Zoom, press the backspace key to reset it, then use the + and - keys to zoom in and out.

MY POI in Mio C220

The manual doesn't match the software :)

This has been driving me crazy too.

Answer:
You can't do it from 'cockpit' view.
Press 'Menu -> Home -> Map -> Bottom right corner button (to show 'route to', 'add via'...) and the rightmost button is 'Add POI'.

To get back to cockpit view, press 'Menu -> Home -> Cockpit'.

Saitek X52 Flight Control Problem

Remove the X52 and drivers from your system. You have to install them in a certain order, so look in the documentation for the correct way to install and you will be okay. Good luck

MS FSX -view keeps switching from cockpit to spot view

The most likely problem here is that you have multiple assignments for the view change command set to multiple controllers hooked up to the system. They are conflicting with each other causing random view changes.

Firstly, go into Windows Control Panel and to Game Controllers. Remove any controllers listed in that box that are not currently connected or being used in your flight simulator.

Next, go into FSX, into the control assignments section...
Go through each controller in the drop down box (in the button/keys tab) and ensure only one controller has the assignment for view changes assigned.
