Question about Protron PLTV-32 Television
You will need two adapters 24V and 12V. You can buy them from www.mpja.com. Do not buy anything from LCDPayless. They are crooks. I order power supply for Protron 32" and they sent me some garbage that is not working. I returned it and they refused to reimburse me full amount and then they claimed they didn't receive it at all. STAY AWAY FROM THEM THEY ARE THIEVES.

I called today 1-888-257-8899 they said call back in 2 weeks back ordered...I found that guy on ebay who sells a "custom-made" replacement...Offer him $90 he should take it as he has before. Seems to be the only way to get something that works.

We should encourage a class action to all screwed by this unscrupulous company and any dealer that sold their TV's intended for sale outside the US. I'm sick of dealing with big business and the "outsourced" customer service, ie: Dell, eCost and Protron to name a few.

I just got off the phone with Protron's customer support (called 888-257-8899) about the AC adapter. The woman said that they now have AC adapters in stock for the PLTV-32, but that I had to send a check or money order for $79.99 to their office in Ontario California before they would send the adapter, and that it would then take two weeks. I'm a little concerned about being scammed here, but possibly willing to risk the money. I'd probably be less concerned if I hadn't seen so many negative posts here about Protron. Can someone else call and see if they get the same response?

LOL... I just called today and they said call back in a week. They said that a part inside was on back order from China. It sounds like this has been on BO for some time

I have the same problem. I have been speaking with Protron then Spectron IQ since March. I have been getting the same run around. I stopped by a local TV repair shop and spoke with a repairman. He said he tried to repair one already, wasn't successful. He was willing to try but wasn't optimistic. He said if I buy two power supplies/AC Adaptors he could wire them together using my cable. One power supply had to be 24V & =>6A, the second 12V & =>3A? He seem to believe the design flaw was the dual voltage caused excessive heat. Ideas?

I bet I can fix it. But it will cost more then 80 bucks, as i will need to reverse engineer it first.

I just call customer support @ 1-888-257-8899 And they told me that the AC adapter is not in stock and to call back in 2 weeks....any suggestions on how get the BBB involved and get this thing resolved?

Power supplies for protron ac adaptor can be ordered through protron technical support dept fpr $79.00 pltv32.. However if we were all smart we would demand this manufacture default device be given to us. Why not all call bbb then perhaps start a law suit for selling goods that one has to wait for "China to make the part before we can recieve it" So are you guys interested maybe we will all get a free upgrade and who knows, maybe theres a lawer out there willing to take on this challenge Margery
