If no box, then directly to the coax connector on the rear of the set, if using a box set to the channel the box is set for (usually 3 or 4) and output coax from box the coax fitting on rear of set.

Leave set on three and power box and change channels with the box.

I have comcast cable serice. Do I have to hook up my dvd/vhs recorder to comcast box or just to my tv?

Your tv. You will use your tv "source" to select which input to watch from. Everything goes to the TV. I have a surround sound amp that I run the sound FROM the TV that way if I want it loud I turn that on. It is the only exception.

Set up difficulties

You sure can. Start w/ the Comcast modem as long as it is NOT a USB type and hooks using a CAT-5 cable (regular network cable). Hook the comcast modem to the WAN port of the wireless router. On the back of the wireless router use the normal 1-4 extra LAN ports to hook other computers or the SD208 switch to it and other computers from there.

Word of advise if using Wireless Router, be sure to read manual and set a KEY for your network to secure it from unwanted outside use.

My insignia lcd37 is hooking the comcast modem and works at times. Other times the sound is on, but the picture is blank. Is it worth fixing or just start over.

Okay you TV is hooked to a comcast modem? or do you mean My tv is hooked to the comcast converter box? A no picture but sound you want to first check you cables also try hooking up a dvd to the tv and see if that picture comes on if not and you got no pic and sound this would mean the backlight on this tv is dead or you got a bad inverter not converter, inverter inside the tv. Meaning it needs the repairshop but try and hook up a dvd to it and see if you got picture if so you cable box might be the issue call comcast!

Thanks and please leave valuable feeback and ratings today!

No Non-Hd sound

I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.

Comcast Cable Modem with Polycom Soundstation Premier

Try adjusting the ringer volume, dial tone volume, and speaker volume. Make sure that the ringer type selection is not set to off. Also make sure that you are not bridging your call.

You can also use the Upgrade feature built into the phone to look for updates which may resolve your issue.

If this has only started happening recently, Restore the default settings and see if it resolves your issue.
