Question about Car Audio & Video
Car fob is working as light on fob is working but does'nt allow the immobilliser disengage to allow the car to start. The car is an 'N' reg 518 BMW saloon. It may be that the fob got a little wet but the fob still lights up making me think that thats not the real problem. Is there a way to disengage the immobilliser somehow on this make and model
Most newer vehicles that employ a Keyfob armed cutoff also tie it into the door locks. Using the Key to open the door should disable the cutoff signal. While I have seen some that ony allow the drivers door keylock to disingage the cutoff it is your best way to see if the door lock will allow it to start.
