This is because you are not receiving a high def signal or you are not using your high def inputs.

Where do the yellow, red, and white cords connect to on my Proscan 37'' DVD/HDTV

it depends on what signal your sending to the tv.
red and white are usually sound and yellow is picture or AV.
you may need to select the input on your TV to recive a picture. Does this help?

Heads are cut off off

It sounds like you may have the zoom mode enabled on the TV source. A lot of HDTVs have settings for how different modes like 4:3 format source video is displayed such as Normal, Full, Wide, Zoom and Wide Zoom. Each signal input may have a different display mode and that is why DVDs look ok and TV does not. Not all TVs have that feature but most of the ones that I have dealt with do.
It may also be a screen centre adjustment in the cable box or satellite receiver.

I hope I was able to give you a viable solution.

Cheers

The volume on my new Proscan 32LB30QD has a constant humming noise. What could be the problem? We are going to get an HDM1 today...do you think that will solve the problem?

1. Turn on T.V.
2. Turn volume to zero.
3. With remote - enter 9876.
4. On the menu that appears on the left side of the screen, arrow down to "Backlight".
5. Press the enter key.
6. Press the right arrow key so that the number moves from 81 to 83.
7. Press the menu button twice. The hum is gone

Cant see all of screen

You should have a button or setting on the remote that says "picture size" or "aspect". One of those is set too "zoom" mode which will cut off the bottom and top of the frames. You want it to be in 16:9,Normal or Full mode (or whatever your set call it) to get the correct aspect. Or if you have a HD satellite rcvr. you might of placed it in the zoom mode as well.
