"No Signal" on HDMI ports

While watching a movie the projector lost the HDMI signal for a few seconds and then would come back on with the movie several times before finally staying on the "No Signal" blue screen. I wanted to narrow the problem down to the projector so using a different HDMI cable I hooked my laptop to the projector and still only got the blue screen (laptop and HDMI cable worked fine on an LCD monitor). I tried the secondary HDMI input of the projector with the same results. I also turned the projector off and unplugged it for 5 min before trying it again with the same results. The movie was loud with a lot of bass (Lord of the Rings) could something have vibrated loose in the projector? Any other ideas??

VGA-HDMI connection fail on Acer projector using adapter

You don't say whether or not the "adapter" is simply a gender-changer, or if it actually converts the digital signal from the HDMI port to an analog one for the VGA port. Some monitors have both analog and digital input capability and can automatically adapt to the the digital signal, even if applied to the VGA (analog) port. Other devices are not so smart and need an actual digital-to-analog converter style adapter.

No picture

Hi, Possibly either of 2 reasons: 1. Your player is not sending any signal to the Optima meaning it is the one in question and not the projector; or 2. Your Optima lost its input signal, go through the signal source selection menu, try manual selection & set it to where your source/player is connected. Hope this works out for you, if not pls post again . Good luck and kind regards.

I just got a new Optoma HD20 and only after 1day of use it is not showing HDMI signal, although it is showing VGA signal. Why is this?

Hi miracles4all: I solved HDMI signal issue in my Optoma HD20. In my case it was the lack of contact between the HDMI cable plug male ending and the Optoma HD20 HDMI female port. My 35ft cable plug male HDMI ending was not completely "seating" in the Optoma HD20 HDMI female port. I solved the problem by purchasing a HDMI female to female coupler and adding a 3ft HDMI cable that had a slim male ending. This 3ft HDMI extension cable made better contact to the Optoma HDMI port and the projector was immediately able to detect HDMI signal. Hope this helps you... kaufmanekpr

Dell 3300mp Projector No Signal found to Digital DVD

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.
