You know, I have a 2710 hp wireless AIO, and it is really crappy wireless. As far as the "detailed" manual says, you can connect wirelessly via an ad-hoc, or one to one mode. But this knocks out you're current wireless network. Example, I can't print and surf with Ad-hoc. You should however be able to connect to the wireless network though. I can with mine. But only if it isn't secure. Anyhow, look online for hp's utilities, or maybe something thats already in your programs.

Here are some guidelines to identify and fix your wireless communication issue:
  • What is the status of the Wi-Fi light on the printer? Green light means that it's connected to a wireless network while Orange light means it's not connected to a network.
  • Try to print the printer's wireless network settings to determine if it's connected to your own wireless network. On the printer operator panel, touch the Setup button > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the its wireless network information page. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network by checking the Network Card Status, Wireless SSID, Quality or Trouble Code.
  • If printer is not connected to your network, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Settings. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will momentarily turn off then back on to solid orange. You can then run the Wireless Setup Utility application on your computer to reconfigure the printer to connect to your wireless network. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Printer Home application > go to Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility. Please follow the instructions on your computer screen.

The printer I use is brother MFC-7840W. It sits next to my computer. I have employees who wirelessly print to the it but in order for it to broadcast wirelessly I have to unplug the network cable from my...

I dont think you have the network set up in the correct way. You should be using a wireless router. If it is a 4 port router, your computer network cable should be in port number 1, the printer can be be wireless or cabled into port 2 of the router. This way you have the internet and can still print wirelessly to the printer and so can anyone else.

How to turn off wireless of samsung color laser printer clx-3185FW

The manual doesn't specifically state this but it appears that if the printer is connected to a wired LAN connection the wireless function will be disabled if the printer is set up in infrastructure mode. When I tried this the 'wireless' light turned off and I wasn't able to find the printer's WiFi SSID using a nearby netbook. If your goal, like mine, was to disable the printer's WiFi from transmitting to reduce extra WiFi noise then this seems to work. One of the wireless troubleshooting tips in the manual states to disconnect the wired connection before attempting to set up a wireless connection so it appears the two can't be used simultaneously. It seems odd that there's no specific "off" setting for wireless though. The printer will provide a WiFi connection when also connected to a wired LAN port if it is set up as part of an ad-hoc wireless network so make sure you set it to 'infrastructure' mode to disable WiFi.

I have a new HP laptop and want to install my printer. I have a pixma MP150 All in one. Will it work on a wireless laptop?

The printer does not have a wireless network feature. If you connect it to a wireless print server, you will need to check if the print server is compatible with your laptop's OS. (If you have Win7 on all computers, the homegroup should let you share the printer via your network.) If you use one of the network options, the scanner may only work with a direct USB connection.

It will work with any supported OS with a USB connection. Drivers are available here: . Install the software before attaching the data cable. If you forget, the scanner features may not work (a generic driver gets installed). If you do install the generic driver, uninstall it and then unplug the data cable before rebooting and installing the Canon driver.

I hope this helps.

Is there a way to set up my Lexmark x5650es so i do not have to use a usb cable?

This printer comes with a Inbuilt wireless port and alsoa ethernet port. You can either configure it to be used with your Wireless router and make this a shared device or you can connected it to your router using a ethernet cable and then you can access it over your network. Assuming you have a wireless router and the expertise to configure a wireless printer. If not consult the user manual.

Please rate if helpful.

Wireless printing does not work

For an effective wireless connection, the printer should be connected to one of the LAN ports of a configured wireless router. This way, every pc(mostly laptops with wireless capability) can print to the printer. You will need a wireless adapter for desktop pcs to access any resource made available wirelessly ok. Good luck

HP P2015dn wirless connection stopped working

There is not wireless netwrok card is HP LJ P2015dn, However as i can understand you r using External Wireless Router or Wireless network or jet-direct card if u r able to work fine on USB than printer printing mechanism is working fine.
If u connect the printer via wired network connection and it keeps on loosing IP address than it may be problem with onboard network card of the printer.
If printer keeps on loosing IP Address than try upgrading the firmware of the printer.
To check the firmware and IP Address of the printer print a configuration page by pressing and holding down green button for 6 to 7 seconds

How to wirelessly access HP Laserjet 1320n via Apple iBook

You need to disconnect the USB cable and set it up wireless on both units:
Since it is plugged into the router, it should already have an IP address.
Un-install the printer from the computers.
Then re-install the printer from the cd or from HP's website. When you get to the point where it ask you is the printer is attached to the computer or is it over the network. Choose over the net work and the software will find the printer IP and finish setting it up wireless.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Restarted printer make sure wireless settings are installed in printer then restart router.Once router is up and running switch on computer and you should be able to print.
Hope this works for you.
