What were you doing when it happened?
    Has it only happened once?
Is your antivirus program up to date?
    Wireless or wire mouse?
Brand of mouse? Tyep? PS2? Another type of port?
    Model number of you computer?

Here's a few troubleshooting steps. If it's a USB mouse, unplug it and plug it back in. If serial, reboot the PC. You can also unplug the USB mouse and try a different port. Try plugging in a different mouse as well.
Finally, hit CTL+ALT+DEL and check your applications tab to see if any program is not responding. Check Processes to see if anything is eating up your CPU. Do this by clicking on CPU once, then again. The most processor intense programs will be at top. If so, you may choose End Process at the bottom.

My mouse curser moves to the middle of the screen and clicks by its self

It sounds like there is a problem with the touchscreen. Seems to have a bad spot and thinks it is being touched. In device manager of the control panel, you should be able to disable it under human user device. Double click on that to make sure that is it and select "do not use this device" or "disable" to see if that is the problem. Also, the drivers of the wireless kb and mouse may not be compatible with win8 and interfering with the touch screen.

try resetting the BIOS to defaults. Also, make sure the wireless KB and Mouse works by testing it in another PC. Acer might be aware of this issue, so try calling them if those ideas do not help.

Hi theossva...
Try to restore your computer to an earlier time when things were working properly.

Left click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Restore.

This should bring you back to a time when the computer was operating properly

How on earth do u use the mouse and keyboard for Acer Aspire Z5600/Z5610. Hubby cant use touch screen, please help?

There should be a USB receiver inside the battery compartment of your mouse.
Plug it in to the computer and try using the connect button on the keyboard and mouse.
That should do the trick.

My acer aspire M1201 completely froze up , keyboard or mouse dont work. Come up to a static screen that says "acer". Wont go any further.

Perhaps you can try pulling the battery, waiting a couple of minutes and then putting it back in/retrying the boot.
