Question about Design Tech AutoCommand Remote Car Starter Add-On

Remote start doesn't always work

I recently had an auto command remote start installed on my dodge stratus...not sure of the model number, but it also has unlock, lock and trunk pop as well as remote start feature. The lock, unlock and trunk pop work normally, but the remote start is somtimes problematic. It is almost like the reciever doesn't recieve the signal all the time. Sometimes I can push the button(requires 2x to remote start it) and it will start and sometimes i will push it 3 or 4 times and can't get it to work. Do you really have to push the button exactley right all the time for it to work? Is this normal to all of these systems? It seems like it should be more responsive than that. Can any one help me out

Thanks in advance

It is that way because you wouldnt want the car starting when you have it it in your pocket or purse.
Sounds like the keypad contacts may need cleaning, or have been bent/broken/etc.
Have you tried another (backup) keyfob?
Please do this and report back.
If you are having problems, the installer should troubleshoot for you for free.

Hi! If your vehicle has an anti-theft system that uses a special key, then your remote starter needs to be set up properly for your articular make and model vehicle. There are a number of ways that remote starters deal with anti-theft systems, so you'll need to check the installation instructions to be sure.

Auto start on Dodge Ram shuts off about 10 seconds after starting

Not seeing the key chip. The remote that was installed if aftermarket needs to see a key for it to keep running. As with a normal WCM (wireless control module) the keys need to be programed to it.The turning off after 10 second is a security feature and would be normal if a unprogrammed key is used to start the truck.

I have an auto command remote starter, model #26327/v1.0/75x/3602. I am looking for an installation manual, my remote starter does not work, it is flashing 3 times. Thanks.

Check your manual, when it honks or blinks at you it is telling you what is wrong (see my tip in my profile) . It usually will tell you what is wrong and is usually an easy fix.
