You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

To access your Voicemail please follow these directions. This will get you to your message and provide you easy access to it in the future.
Start at your home screen, tap the square with four little squares inside,
Scroll left or right through the appliactions and find one that says "Voicemail" (it should look like a green talk/speech bubble with a phone in it).
Press and hold the icon for Voicemail, drag the icon to the location you want. You can move an application icon to another main menu screen. You can also move most-used applications next to Home. And then press save!*
Tap the Voicemail icon and your message will be on the top screen.
Now you should be able to check your Voicemail at any time and know how to place an icon for convenience.
Hope this helped! *Information found at: Manual Samsung website for visuals and specifications
When you press the message button, look at the display. Is it really going to the VM extension or is it going to another phone? Othre people could have left you a message by calling you and pressing the MESSAGE buttone either on purpose, or by accident.
You can clear ALL message lights from your phone by dialing *700 plus your extension and #. Of course you can access VM by dialing the VM extension, usually 165 or 500 from the intercom.
Access your voicemail from your mobile cell phone and record a personalised voicemail greeting.
Now call your number from a landline, and when you hear your voicemail greeting prompt you to leave a message, press the required key sequence to access your voicemail from the landline.
The required sequence is dependent on which network/service provider you are using.
If you let me know which network, i can give you more detailed information.
Your phone does not have an internal answering machine/voicemail function. It only allows you to retrieve voicemail messages if you subscribe to voicemail service through your telephone service provider. Access and other features vary by telephone company and location, so you need to contact your phone company for specifics. The voicemail light on your phone lets you know if you have new messages on your phone company system. To disable this light if you do not subscribe to this service: - Press PROG - Use the up/down arrow keys to select CLR VOICEMAIL - Press SELECT. The screen displays CLEAR? and YES flashes. - Press SELECT to confirm. You will hear a confirmation tone.

I have voicemail through my telephone company. Recently my SAMSUNG SGH-D980 phone system has been answering the calls for voicemail, instead of going to my phone company voicemail. I am being left messages that I cannot retrieve! I would like to "turn off" the voicemail function of my phone system. I'm not sure why the phone changed from working "properly" to now picking up voicemail calls. Thank you for any help you can give me!
