Screen white

Most likely it is just a bad connection between the LCD display and the system board. I would try to reseat the video connector on the back of the LCD screen first and check if it fixes the problem. After that I would try to reseat the video cable connector on the system board. I would also reseat cables if there is no video on the LCD screen at all. This requires to take the laptop apart google the name brand and model number for a guide for taking apart.

Screen background flashes blue and picture flickers

the screen comes apart from the front bezel and back bezel. Try reseating the LCD cable. Reseat it behind the lcd and also reseat it where it connects to the motherboard.

The backlight is built into the screen so if reseating the LCD cable doesn't do the trick then that means the screen would need to be replaced.

1 long beep 2 short beep continous beep

This POST beep code (power on self test) means you could have problems with :-
  • System board failure OR
  • Video adapter problem OR
  • LCD assembly failure
Try reseating the RAM module/s (the video uses shared RAM ie. part of the main RAM module/s).
Try reseating the video cable/connector (if the computer is a desktop then try reseating the video card and/or a different one).

Black screen saying to reseat memory

Theres no risk losing any data if you reset the memory.

If above doesnt work you could trying taking the memory out and cleanng the connection points with a soft cloth.

When placing the memory stick back in -making sure it sitting straight and securely on the board (memory shouldnt move if put in correctly) .

Try booting up the laptop now...good luck.

Dell x200 laptop power problem

Try reseating the RAM module/s. The RAM may need reseating to make proper electrical contact or the RAM may be faulty. If reseating the RAM doesn't work, remove the RAM and insert it into an another computer to test the RAM or take it to your friendly computer shop and get it tested.
