The radio should have a button that switches it to your aux port (usb). if you have the manual it will tell you what button it is.

If the manual does not mention MP3 playback capability, your Pioneer radio may not offer it but contact Pioneer directly for clarification.

What is the purpose of the USB port on my 2009 Kia Rondo? I tried playing my ipod through it but it did not work.

The purpose of the USB port is for charging USB powered devices such as IPODs, MP3 players etc. that recharge themselves when plugged into a USB port.
There is no data communications on this port, just power.

I have a panasonic cd player..CQ-DF602U and its shows a code across the screen CD-E1...what does this mean and it wont play cds

E1 = Disk is dirty, or is upside down. Also the disk may have a format that the player cannot read. If this occurs with all your disks, move to the next step.
Try one of those CD lens cleaning kits. They are just typically a CD with a little brush attached to the underside of the disk to try gently and wipe the lens. You could also try re-setting the whole deck by removing it from the dashboard. The jiggling might knock something back into place. (Don't forget to disconnect it first and make sure the power is off!).

If you still receive the error code or the cd ejects automatically briefly after being inserted, the head unit needs to be repaired or replaced.

The stereo is supposed to be MP3 ready. Where do I plug it in? I can't find a hole for it.

what make and model stereo is it? most radios that say they are mp3 compatible refer to their ability to play cds burned in mp3 format.

Error 1 comes up on screen when cd played panasonic rx77 cd and cassette player.has active screen.

Don't know if this will help, but with my panasonic CQ-C8300N there are 4 error messages, all to do with CDs.

They are as follows:

CD E1 - Disc is dirty, or upside down.
CD E2 - Disc has scratches.
CD E3 - No operation by some cause! - see your dealer.
CD E4 - The file is not readable.

From my panasonic manual.

I have a CQ-RX400 car stereo that i just bought and the front display keeps flashing from ipod-reading-cd-usb Etc. and i just want it to stay at the time or radio station name. how do i do this?

You have to turn off the "DEMO" mode on your Panasonic radio. Check your owner manual for more detail. By default the radio run in "DEMO" mode when you use it for the first time!

I have a Panasonic CQ-DFX403U car cd player and when I insert cd's nothing plays and after a few seconds something pops up that says CD E1?

That is the error code for the laser being bad. It is a very difficult job to replace one.

You can try cleaning the lens with a cleaning disc, run it for about 20 to 30 seconds and if that doesn't help the laser will need to be replaced.

These are very good car stereos, Panasonic makes some of the best car stereos around. It may be the only thing they make really good. So it may be worth it to you to get it fixed. The cost should be around $130 give or take a little depending on the cost of the part and the rates of the shop.

I have been repairing car and home audio for over 17 years and work at an authorized Panasonic service center. So I have lots of experience with these.

If you need any help, just ask. And if you found this information helpful a "FixYa" rating would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
