Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The phone line is working and the cable is fine. But when I dial a fax number, nothing happens. Is there a problem with my set-up?
After trying everything, I reset the machine to factory settings (press Menu, then 7 for Maintenance). I then also changed the fax cable to the telephone socket. Despite a computer shop telling me that I need a BT to RJ11 cable (I think this is a modem cable), the correct thing is to use a simple telephone cable. The look exactly the same from the outside (both plugs), but apparently they are wired differently which may not be visible from the outside. Now it suddenly works again!
