Cant get my vista labtop to print through router

Steps that you need to do for sharing the printer in Network

Step 1: Share the printer.

1.In the Desktop Computer XP, where you have installed the printer, Open printer and faxes, right click on printer and share the
printer.

2.Get the IP address of the same computer.

3.To know IP address click start ->run.

4.In Run window type "cmd" (without quotes).Clik OK.

5.In the Command prompt screen, type "IPCONFIG" (without quotes), hit enter.

6.Note the IP address.For Eg: 192.168.1.2



Step 2: Install the driver for the printer.

1.Now move the other computer, vista laptop in which you would like to access the printer.

2.Click start-->run.

3.In the Run window type "\\ip address"(without quotes).Hit ok.
For eg: \\192.168.1.2

4.Now you will see the shared printer.

5.Right click on the printer and hit connect.

6.Now the printer driver will be installed.

- Your most welcome....ask me if there is any HP all in one printer related issue. I was a HP tech support for All in one printers a year ago...
